Hello everybody. I've been hit by the Photobucket ransom thing. All my photos have been covered up, and the only way I can get them back is to pay $399 a year for an upgrade to my account. I am not doing that. So instead I'll be trying out a different way of hosting images. I've singed up for a Flickr account. (Thank you Curufin) Next up, trying to figure out how to post from Flickr. I've successfully loaded photos to the account. Now I just need to figure out what the right image file link is. Here's a shot of a painted TIE Fighter. Well, that didn't work. I'll continue to hammer at this till I figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Yeah, I should have mentioned that Flickr has more steps per photo you want to share. Find your photo and click "Share Photo" (lower right). Select "BBCode" at top. Copy link and paste in your post. You will need to delete the suffix off of every copied link or it will also share your image name/number and name. It is a pain (at least way more than Photobucket) but it is free and you get way more space. On that note, DAMN Photobucket! I also now have to decide if I want to spend 3 days re-uploading all my old crafting pictures. EDIT: Actually, now that I look back here, all of my old Photobucket pics are still intact. I wonder why mine still work?

I didn't have my photos go belly up...might be bexause I had just renewed, but after some soul searching I sprang for the extra $s. After I paid they did some system work & all I got was: Upload Print Shop Search Photos Videos Animated Gifs Profile Settings Log out Storage is 6% full Get more Plans Shipping Country Currency Units Help Cart CANVAS PRINTS METAL PRINTS PRINTS CANVAS POSTERS FRAMED PRINTS HOME DECOR PHOTO GIFTS SHARE THIS ALBUM ACTIONS DESCRIPTION ...no photos to be seen, although they were still on the various fora I haunt. Right now it looks okay, but for how long is a question. Google did a f..k over with their albums awhile ago, PhotoBucket out did them by several hundred dollars. I did get to see some of the comments. The depth & breadth of profanity was remarkable.

Thank you Curufin. Let's try this again...
I think it worked. Now let's see if I can do it again.
By jove I think I got it. Now here's hoping I remember all of this the next time I try to post, which could be a while. In the meantime I may try replacing a few of my old images on this page to see if repetition will cement this into my head. Wish me luck.

Is the paid version of it still got the adds that can create issues even with a blocker? I'd been dealing with that whenever I needed to upload.

I'm not sure how the ads will work signing in;re, I haven't done a normal sign in yet...all those annoying no photos openings. The paid plan I had before going to Plus had all sorts of ads pop up while I was trying to sign in even though I was supposed to be ad-free. Once logged in the Plus has no ads at all, other than a couple non-intrusive PhotoBucket blurbs.
