What kind of glue did you use to attach the strips to the clear plastic window? I have used superglue in the past, as that seems to bonds most plastics the best, but it always "ghosts" or fogs up the clear plastic as it cures.

Erasmas, I used regular Testors plastic glue. The bond isn't holding to the bubble very well, but since most of the details are attached to the cage of plasticard strips they are holding to each other just fine. I'm hoping the two coats of primer will hold the plastic in place a little better, but we'll see. I masked off the upper panes, including the 'eyes', both outside and inside. This should give me enough light blocking if I decide to do any lighting. I might give the bottom bits a touch of super glue to see if this will hold them on. My other options are to use the the clear canopy glue for models kit, or pin the cage in place at a few spots. This is all a learning process after all.

The good deals on the excellent star wars command sets seem to be gone. I bought probably 2-3 collections worth overall, lol. It is currently spread over 2 continents, so there is that.
If you missed out there is always eBay.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Too many half finished project on my plate lately. Here are the only Imperial Assault figures I've painted lately. These are the Hired Guns villain pack. Not exactly exciting, but at least it's some progress. I've also got a pair of troopers from a recent Kickstarter called S.T.A.R. Troopers. I got these in my swag bag from Adepticon. (Actually the second one is from my wife. She's so nice to me.) They are shorter then the Imperial Assault figures, but I like the look of them. These are metal miniatures too, which is always a bonus in my book. Really glad I got in on the Kickstarter.

I really love your paint scheme! Incredible detail and super clean lines. Almost has a "comic book" feel to it and that is NOT a bad thing! The lines are crisp and sharp and project the characters very well. They look like they could jump off the page of some of dark horses best. Your painting is TOP NOTCH. It's how those old woc minis could/should have been painted.

First off, thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments. I've been away too long. Oh the dangers of video games. They rot your brains and steal your motivation. Anyway, here are some things I've been painting lately for my Star Wars project. There's no rhyme or reason to this. Just lots of different figures, vehicles and terrain I've had sitting around waiting for me. Here goes. First up, a re-painted Tie Crawler from the WOTC Star Wars range. This is also known as a Century Tank. Easily one of the silliest vehicles in all of Star Wars. This is firmly a part of Star Wars Legends now, and not a part of Canon. Next we have a group of three AT-STs from Imperial Assault. I've always believed in having lots of bad guys when running a game. I might never get around to using all of these in a game. But if I need them I have them. Some Hoth Troopers. This was the first time I've used snow texture for a base. I really like it. Boba Fett. He's another Imperial Assault miniature. I used a small piece of sponge to create the paint chips. Worked really well too. A pair of Imperial Assault Wampas. I used GW's Blood for the Blood God for the gore effect of one of them, but I kept the other one clean. That way I can tell them apart, or I can use them for before and after figures after the first encounter with the party. This is a pair of Star Wars Action Fleet toys. The Ronto is just a re-paint of the factory paint job. Oh, and I pulled the too-small Jawa out of the howdah of his back. The other one is an escape pod that I cut off at an angle, glued it to a base, added some texture to said base, and painted it. And finally, this is a pair of generator terrain pieces from a company called Secret Weapon. They're around $20 for the pair. Not a bad price, but I'm thinking of making something similar in the future. Sorry for the lack of crafting on this thread. I have a couple ideas that I'm working on. Hopefully I'll have something to post sooner this time. Let me know what you think.

In August of 2015, I started sculpting a Hutt for this Star Wars project. Sculpey the Hutt sat on a shelf for the next year and a half. Well I remembered him recently and decided it was time to paint him up. Here he is. I think he turned out pretty good. What do you think?

Thank you Sam, Margaret, Skunkape and deafnala. After being away from the boards for so long, it's nice to get back to posting. I really missed to friendly people. Now I have a ton of people's projects to catch up on. Just a quick update. I haven't been painting much Star Wars stuff lately. Instead I've been re-basing all of my Imperial Assault miniatures. The grey streaky bases worked, but they just weren't very exciting. I decided to go with Earth-tones on a textured base, since most Star Wars stories actually take place either outside or in primitive interiors. Other then the Deathstar of course. And no one wants to see another story set on the Deathstar. Enough waffle. Here's a shot of the last batch of re-based miniatures.

I'm running a D6 Star Wars RPG coming up this weekend. I decided to use some terrain from the old Sedition Wars terrain set. The problem was I hadn't painted it yet. So all weekend I was painting the terrain, and here it is. Starting with the technical stuff. Terminals, Auto-Docs, Teleport beacons (that won't be used in Star Wars of course), and barricades. (Trooper TK-888 shown for scale.) And here is the creepy Bio-Mechanical stuff. "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about."say the GM as he starts rolling dice. I'll try to get some shots of the game in progress if I have a chance.

Those bio-mechanical scatter terrain pieces... Simply wonderful! Not only did you do a great paint job, I also LOVE their textures. *drool* I would make molds and cast the hell out of them until I have a dozen of each. Then I'd make me a TOROG-themed terrain set that fills the whole table. *eyes mist over, goes babbling away incoherently & ecstatically*

Love all the Star Wars stuff! Running an old school d6 campaign myself at the end of the month. Back when we played, all we had were west end games minis and hand drawn maps. I sold all those minis(6-7 boxes worth) years ago. Didn't do eBay at the time, got ripped off by noble knight games, of course no one held a gun to my head and made me sell. They were just gathering dust. Wish I'd bought knight models when they had the Star Wars license.
