What operating system do you use, the available software may well change depending on that. OS X has iMovie which i think would meet your demands. Blender (blender.org) is available for all platforms (Linux/OS X/windows/...)but has a very steep learning curve Open Movie Editor (http://www.openmovieeditor.org/) is also available for all platforms - I've never used it tho Windows used to have a "windows movie maker" - but all urls that points to it now redirects to the windows 10 FAQ.

Guppy, maybe you should use a forum app then. after all there are tons of them. This thread is not for you, your condescending "advice" is neither needed nor wanted. This thread is about warning the owner of the forum about mobile guests being subjected to malicious ads, so he can pass that message along. Nobody gives a **** that you use tapatalk and cannot see ads (btw tapatalk tracks you, your conversations and uses it for direct marketing / selling to it's chosen partners = spyware). but thinking that since you get them and some others get them, that everyone gets them is a miss conception on your part. I never claimed that everyone gets the malicious ads, just confirmed that I had also seen them on this site - the hillarious part here is that you can type that and not see how it applies to your self. "Herp, derp - I dont get no ads, but I don't use the mobile forum so there must not be no ads" [...verbal diarrhea...] as you can see i only have 2 ads... which i ignore easily. one at the top, normal. and one at the bottom, normal. but nothing of what you showed up to this point ! [...] so again, i think you're ads do not come from the forum, i think they come from something else. It seems you have no clue how an ad server works, or how malicious ads like the ones shown get on there - so let me try to explain it to you in common words (chosen from the 10,000 most commonly used English words www.xkcd.com/simplewriter/);Machine choose random image to show, to random visitors. Other people pay to have their image shown. Some visitors may never see an image if the people paying have not chosen for them to see it. Some bad people pay with stolen money card to show bad images. Machine will show images until it discovers the money card was stolen or somebody tells it the images are bad.

or maybe i just have a very good ad blocker. who knows... but yeah, i have no ads on my phones. so you tested for malicious add on 3 phones that run adblockers... I'm sure if you try really hard you can spot the error in your methodology

tappatalk is actually a nice forum apps though. and i still, on all 3 phones i have tryed to see this forum on. never got any ads ! so i still think its the phone cache or you have a virus. which you shouldn't if you had avast installed. No ads, really? - Currently every Page has two ads for proboards.. What ads gets displayed is decided by the ad Host, and from time to time dishonest advetisers buy impressions - luckily they usually are quickly reported and removed.

Never had this problem, this forum on my androids always sent me over to TappaTalk to see the forum. and when i was seeing it on my phone without tappatalk it simply loaded the page in the browser. so i dont think there is a mobile version of the forum. if there is, it clearly sent me on tappatalk ! that said i was stuck in adsware mode on my browser for quite some times. until i figured that i needed to clear my cache off on the phone. because the phones always keeps the few pages you have visited and thus if you did visit that ads somewhere because wrong site and all. it will keep it in memory and might just bring it back to you all the time. which is what might just be hapenning to you. so... configuration > apps > select browser app > clear the cache this is how i solved my ads problem on my phone ! that and clearing the phone memory often. you know those apps they keep openned in memory in case you come back to it. There is a mobile / responsive forum - you go there when you refuse to bow down to the spyware known as Tapatalk. And yes I've seen those advertisement as well . - posted from the mobile forum

Old post, but why not? Paint, or table cloth. Make sure to protect the edges because MDF chips and cracks at the edges like scabies on a lizard. A pine skirt does a nice job of protecting the edges. I think your thinking of particleboard, MDF is made from fiber and is more papery so chipping shouldn't be a problem. If I got the terms wrong then I'm sorry, and chipping can be controlled sanding a bevel on the edge

Not really sure if I got the question right, but you could do cobble stones - the round ones like so; To do it in foam core simply draw irregular circles that just touch each other, be sure to use a ball point pen or a dull pencil and really press into the foam to get the best effect. Fair warning tho after doing just one 75x75mm tile my hand was cramping so badly that I've started trying to cast the tiles in plaster instead

Another way to handle magnets is put a magnet in one corner, for instance anywhere on the above image that has a + sign, then put a nail or other piece of metal in the - corner. Then it won't matter what polarity the magnet is set, because it only has to connect with a piece of metal. Reason I suggest nails is they will be easy to attach to the base. See now I spent ages looking for thin metallic discs that were magnetic for precisely this reason, I finally gave up and decided to instead make a test pieces to make sure I got polarity the same every time.. Feel kind of stupid for not realizing that nails would work - wonder if those flat paper tacks are ferromagnetic. One thing to conciser tho is that if you have random polarity stacking the tiles will be a challenge, still using half the magnets could cut down cost a bit.

I've thought about using magnetic paint as a base coat, but I find the paint a little too expensive (~20 EUR for 0.5 liter). I do use small neodymium magnets on the bottom of my tiles, and I play on a small magnetic whiteboard. This way I only need 1 magnet per tile, and the tiles won't move around so much. Neat idea with the whiteboard, can't imagine it's very handy to move that about tho. As for the price of the paint - I got a 250ml bottle for ~9 EUR and I've barely used any of it. The instructions calls for up to 3 layers for the proper effect, but I use found that even one layer thinned quite a bit with water will work just fine when the magnets do not have to fight gravity. And you need to water it down as the paint is very, very think and could obscure details otherwise. Also having to make less tiles because I can use magnetic walls instead of making specific pieces kind of offsets the cost a bit I think

This is in part a reply to DMG info #109 video He makes a slight mistake here that "locks" his pieces - for instance the turn piece can't be reversed to be come a right turn any more. ( I should know because I initially made the same mistake my self ) The Trick is have both polarities on each end - using magnetic tape simply cut the tape in half and rotate one piece 180* do this for all lengths of the tile that can connect to another ( for most designs everything but walls ) like so; Positive / negative polarity doesn't really matter - just be consistent and use an existing piece as a test piece when putting in new magnets. This means that no matter how you turn the tile it will always be compatible with like tiles. I used small neodymium magnets in the above but the idea is the same. To take the whole magnet thing one step further I also basecoat my tiles with a magnet paint, this allows anything magnetic to stick rather firmly to the tile and keeps even tall strucktures from getting knocked over quite so easily. This is illustrated below with the book case that would topple over at the slightest provocation with out a larger base or the magnet tape ( last two shots are a collaboration with my 5 year old son, hence the water colour ) Anyway I hope this was useful to somebody - if not, well this is the internet; feel free to ignore the post entirely

I don't model for printing my self my my understanding is that the printer/filament has a specific resolution that dictates a minimum feature size - going below this size will cause the features to flow together.
cg cookie did a tutorial on it a while ago;

I live in Denmark. I have bought a lot of my paints and paintbrushes from søstrene grene (http://sostrenegrene.com/da/). But lately I have switched to the "Budget" brand from Føtex. I recently discovered that you can get foamcore at Silvan, both white and black. I believe it is 119DKK for a 70x100cm 5mm sheet. I have been unable to locate any pink/blue foam. I have checked my local XL-byg, Silvan, Bygma, Bauhaus and some of the neighbouring stores as well. I have also been looking for "woodsies". The ones I have found are overpriced to a degree where I can't justify using them for single-use crafting projects or most other crafting projects for that matter. (Why use round woodsies, for bases when you get luxury resin cast miniature bases at approximately the same price?) If you live near aalborg you can halve the cost of foam core; www.hobbydirect.dk/shop/kreativ+hobby/diverse/foamboard+-+skumpap+5+mm.htmIt's only available for pickup tho. How easy is it to peel the card from the black foamboard? I considered getting some when I saw it at jem og fix's home page www.jemogfix.dk/acrylplader-tilbehoer__1678/karton-skumplade_9040065but oddly enough they don't carry it in the store, I'd still need to prime it with magnetic paint but I accidental "battle damage" would be less obvious if it's black all the way through. As for the pink/blue foam - only very few places has it and there is usually a minimum order of 1 box making it a purchase of ~1200 kr, I did talked to a mason who to me that the foam they use (foamlux) is white ( even the non crumbly stuff ) so it may be a regional thing. if you want the "woodsies" for bases I'd pick up a box on 25mm washers from silvan instead, is has the added benefits of lending some extra weigth and having a hole to fit a neodynium magnet should you so desire

I think the idea is being continuously re-invented - I found Wyloch's Armory when I had and idea of making reusable magnetic tiles ( with the tiles and walls snapping together with magnets to keep from getting knocked) and wanted to see if anyone else was doing something similar.
Of course everybody seem to be doing gridless with fixed walls - but even so the basic idea is pretty much the same

For foamcore; try a few local hobby shops, I get mine in rather ungainly 70x100 cm sheets of 5mm thickness for ~9€ You may have to describe it to them as they often call it different things, it's also used for mounting photos, posters and creating airfoil. I had to go though 6 shops before I got lucky - and be sure to ask for it as the shop I found didn't have it on display but stored it out back. For water effects, flocking, trees; Look for shops that sell model trains as the products are originally made for those guys. I noticed that Søstrene Grene had set up shop when last I visited Amsterdam; sostrenegrene.com/nl/They carry all sorts of cheap acrylic paint, brushes, whiteglue, cutting implements boards and various nicknacks. if your getting desperate for something particular you could try panduro hobby as suggested, but I believe they you have to order for a minimum of 50€ for them to ship ( and then pay shipping fee ontop of that ) I'm sure you must have some local "dollar store" kind of shop that sells cheap crap from china - those often have crafting supplies as well. Tiger have shops in belgium but not Netherlands it seems. Best of luck
