Never had this problem, this forum on my androids always sent me over to TappaTalk to see the forum. and when i was seeing it on my phone without tappatalk it simply loaded the page in the browser. so i dont think there is a mobile version of the forum. if there is, it clearly sent me on tappatalk !
that said i was stuck in adsware mode on my browser for quite some times. until i figured that i needed to clear my cache off on the phone. because the phones always keeps the few pages you have visited and thus if you did visit that ads somewhere because wrong site and all. it will keep it in memory and might just bring it back to you all the time. which is what might just be hapenning to you.
so... configuration > apps > select browser app > clear the cache
this is how i solved my ads problem on my phone !
that and clearing the phone memory often. you know those apps they keep openned in memory in case you come back to it.

There is a mobile / responsive forum - you go there when you refuse to bow down to the spyware known as Tapatalk. And yes I've seen those advertisement as well . - posted from the mobile forum

tappatalk is actually a nice forum apps though.

No ads, really? - Currently every Page has two ads for proboards.. What ads gets displayed is decided by the ad Host, and from time to time dishonest advetisers buy impressions - luckily they usually are quickly reported and removed.

I have more than a dozen different mobile devices that get a reset about once per month. Some of them are running antivirus software/adblockers, others don't. These devices are mostly used for checking up on current projects, so it is very unlikely that I get these kind of ads because I'm male, between 40 and 50 and I spend most of my spare time in the basement of our house. If you are visiting this page on a mobile device, the "quality" of ads on this forum is very volatile. I don't always get bad stuff, but it happened more than once in the last weeks. Don't get me wrong, I believe that advertisements are a necessary evil. If you don't want to pay for something, somebody else has to pay for it. Because of that, I don't have a problem with ads as long as they don't pose a threat. A site like this should be a safe place for EVERY of visitor. This is not rob-me-blind.ru. As I haven't found an easy way to flag this stuff, I hope the admins find a way to minimize the amount of such ads. Cheers, pepebe

Guppy, maybe you should use a forum app then. after all there are tons of them. but thinking that since you get them and some others get them, that everyone gets them is a miss conception on your part. i'm IT and where everyone have slow computers, mobiles and tons of ads and spywares and everything... i just laugh cause i dont. its claled taking care of your stuff and knowing what you do. everyone can do that and everyone can reduce the clutters on everything they have. take the admins here for exemple... they are probably wondering what you mean because they also know what they are doing and what they see is probably not the same thing you do. that just about tells you why the ads thing may not ave been solved yet. because they may not be seeing the same stuff as you. even on this very forum on my desktop, i barely see any ads. i see the two on the forum itself. but thats it. no popup, no more ads just the regular two banners. just so we're clear on what i see on all 3 phones. including my new LG G5... i took the liberty of taking screen captures on my phone. mind you i wasn't as exact as i should so if you see black lines, thats the android bar att he top that i tried to remove but didn't want to be too precise cause, its just for show. 1drv.ms/i/s!AtEZeDmPNyj9knBq_XoDL_ATvzpD as you can see i only have 2 ads... which i ignore easily. one at the top, normal. and one at the bottom, normal. but nothing of what you showed up to this point ! as i said, i did get that kind of thing on my own Samsung Alpha... but that wasn't this forum, it was my phone per say because it had remembered an adress it shouldn't have had. and once i cleared the cache and everything it didn't came back at all. so again, i think you're ads do not come from the forum, i think they come from something else.

Guppy, maybe you should use a forum app then. after all there are tons of them. This thread is not for you, your condescending "advice" is neither needed nor wanted. This thread is about warning the owner of the forum about mobile guests being subjected to malicious ads, so he can pass that message along. Nobody gives a **** that you use tapatalk and cannot see ads (btw tapatalk tracks you, your conversations and uses it for direct marketing / selling to it's chosen partners = spyware). but thinking that since you get them and some others get them, that everyone gets them is a miss conception on your part. I never claimed that everyone gets the malicious ads, just confirmed that I had also seen them on this site - the hillarious part here is that you can type that and not see how it applies to your self. "Herp, derp - I dont get no ads, but I don't use the mobile forum so there must not be no ads" [...verbal diarrhea...] as you can see i only have 2 ads... which i ignore easily. one at the top, normal. and one at the bottom, normal. but nothing of what you showed up to this point ! [...] so again, i think you're ads do not come from the forum, i think they come from something else. It seems you have no clue how an ad server works, or how malicious ads like the ones shown get on there - so let me try to explain it to you in common words (chosen from the 10,000 most commonly used English words www.xkcd.com/simplewriter/);Machine choose random image to show, to random visitors. Other people pay to have their image shown. Some visitors may never see an image if the people paying have not chosen for them to see it. Some bad people pay with stolen money card to show bad images. Machine will show images until it discovers the money card was stolen or somebody tells it the images are bad.

Guppy, first and foremost, tappatalk isn't even installed on G5. and you can even see that on my screenshots as it askes me if i want to instal it and i just dont. what you see in my pictures are the real forum without any apps.
second thing... i am answering your question. as it seems that not all of us have those ads problems. which is totally related to your first post as you seem to think that everyone has them when its not true.
third thing... you seem to think that the admins will look at this and solve your problem for you. but if that was the case, they'd already solved it. which further proof that that they dont see the same thing as you and thus dont really understand. or they just didn't read this yet which i doubt.
fourth... just trying to help here, but if you gonna blow helps that much, then why would we even bother helping you to begin with ? you dont want the help of a guy who actually do this for a living... so i wonder what you think of the admins here. why would they help you if all you claim is... i got ads so remove them. while they on their end may simply be like "i dont see ads anywhere what you talking about"
so i'm gonna end on this one again... the only ads i see are the top banner (normal) and the bottom banner (normal) i dont get weird pages like you do.

First off It's not been a problem for a few days now so the credit card of the fraudster has likely bounced by now.
Secondly nobody asked for help.

I started this thread with good intentions which as we all know is the opposite of good. I really appreciate any comment that has been added to this thread. I'm sure that all of them have been made with the goal to shed some light on this topic or to give advice. Lets sum things up. - There are or have been problems with malicious ads. They can harm your device, spy on you or do other stuff that will cause you nightmares for years to come. This doesn't mean that ads are evil, but the way they are organized right now is completely broken. The best thing would be to have no ads at all, but somebody has to pay for this...
- It is wise to be cautious about popups and similar stuff. If you read something about updates, a detected virus, etc, then don't touch anything and close the current tab. Curiosity kills the cat.
- Think twice about using ANY software changing the content of sites you are visiting. Some of them do much more than blocking ads.
- Malicious ads are bad news. They can be injected by abusing the ad network used by proboard or by hacking the forum itself. In both cases it is a good idea to let the admins know about the situation
- Think about installing a virus scanner for your device. Don't install the first one that pops up in your appstore. Do some research and find one that fits your needs.
- If you don't want to be bothered by ads, download opera or opera mini and activate ad blocking (settings -> data savings -> block ads).
The good news is, that at this moment the problem seems to be gone.
If this happens again, it would be a good idea to post screenshots here that help the admins to file a complain to the ad network. It might be a good idea to use a special category or at least a dedicated thread for this.
Cheers,
Patrick
