Wyloch, do you play any other scale wargames, like 10mm or 15mm? There is a distinct lack of 10/15mm wargaming terrain on youtube........ HINT... HINT! Other than multiplying all numbers by 0.35 / 0.53 what do you imagine the difference would be?

Think you should include the "how to post a picture" guide with these topics Also the only thing I've been working on in Nov has been a group of undeads - am I allowed to enter a group of minis, or do I need to pick one ?

Looks great, but aren't you worried that your players will have problems seeing/manipulating their figures?

Instead of Steps 1-3, just mouse over the image and press "copy", in step 5 add ".png" after you paste.

Not really a good idea there. If you don't already have the specifics of the seal already shown to the players, go to the craft store and look through the metal charms isle. You can probably find a decent dove one there that could be mounted on a dowel more easily than engraving around one. Also, since it's near christmas, you might also want to take a glance at stamps, the dove is one that tends to pop up a lot with christmas ones, and a lot of the nicer ones can stand up to heat rather well. I see my skills at posting images from google drive hasn't improved - my initial post was supposed to include this image: suppose I could give it a try with miliput - laying a "saussage" along the line of the bird - the detail of feet/bar and dots aren't that important.

In my current the evil shadowy organisation uses a raven/dove sigl like this; I wanted to seal all the correspondence the players intercept with in real wax, however the seal it a bit too thin detail to attempt with a wood burner on a large wooden dovel so I opted to create the above and print it - it sort of looks right but real wax would be ace. So the question is would a 3d printet signet hold up the the heat of wax or would the plastic start to become malleable, thus loosing detail? when answering, please bear in mind that I have 0 practical experience with 3d printers

found a video demonstrating the difference between brushing and dipping;
It's hilarious and well worth the watch just for their "scientific method" xD

Damn thing fought me every step of the way - had to scratch build a base because the legs arent level, it was too heavy to stick to my magnetic mini holder for painting, the muscles was sculpted in flats rather than curves - the colour ended up making the bearskin cape look like a oversized fox.. gah if not for this contest I'd properly still be at it trying to work out the kinks - I should properly give my self a dead line more often

Need the image link... Intriguing idea. Looking forward to seeing the images. Cheers! The image isn't all that interesting - I mostly put it there because somebody else here started using google photos to share images, which has never worked for me before. Anyway I've now linked the photo in a different way - let me know if you can see it.

If you have wood floors you properly already have the materials needed if not it's sold in most furniture & grocery stores: protective felt pads that you stick under chairs and other furniture that gets moved regularly to keep it from scratching the floor. If you no know what I'm talking about then do a google search for "self adhesive felt furniture pads 25mm" [just a quick heads up the ones from IKEA "fixa" line are the wrong size ( 20mm & 40mm )] In their raw form they aren't that usable they are too floppy, this is why it's important you get the felt kind - they will soak up your 50/50 white glue mix and go quite hard ( or let them soak up watery paint mix if your running low on glue - same result ) reason I found this out; My 4 year old wanted to play the "dragon game" and while most of my terrain is built to handle his level of demolition the minis generally aren't, so I whipped up a batch of easily replaceable paper minis - but due to a recent project I've run out of washers so we tried the pads and they really quite good for the purpose. Please note that the drying time is 6-12 hours, so avoid my mistake - prepare the bases before inviting your kids to create minis as patience tends not to be a strong suite image shared from google drive:

Go to YouTube and do a search for "airbrush beginner exercise". Lots of useful tuts will pop with those keywords, including one for gradients. I have - all I got were 6+ year old videos that looked like old VHS recordings, too painful to watch Guess I'll dig deeper

I caved in and ordered an airbrush, oddly though most tutorials online are either concerned with asembling/cleaning or assumes that you know how to vitriol the darn thing to make gradients/fades etc..
Are there any basic exercises to get familiar with the gear?
