I looked for that DM Scotty video, but I was unable to locate it.

I believe that Scotty has a video where he used them as some sort of pod/cocoon or larva creature. I have never made anything with them...and I kept a whole bag of them for quite some time before finally getting rid of them. I would think that you could break them apart and hot glue them to a base to make rock formations (piles of rocks or walls). You could also break them up finely and use it as rubble or flocking more in the style of DMG.

While not fully Egyptian, this thread has some interesting builds...

Very cool. I am definitely going to need to get going on this silicone/cornstarch mold thing... I am missing out on so many possibilities...

Yup, you learn something new every day. I had no idea about the wet-palette. I'll have to try that out...

Awesome - this whole crazy idea is really flying! I think it would be even more motivating and inspiring for newcomers if we all take pics of the stuff we received, and even later add links to postings showing what we made with this material! Yes it is! We are going to need more people.... Double yes on taking pictures! I'll have a few soon (once I get some things painted up) to show from some stuff I made from your parcel. And I have plenty more to make after that!

@dndpaladin: I started out the same: Craft only what I need. But then there's some stuff that's just too cool not to craft... Some of it I can shoehorn onto my campaigns (I never had had the intention of adding a purple worm to my underdark campaign, but it's a believable addition), but some stuff is simply too far out of the campaign's theme. Still, if it has a sufficient level of coolness, I can't resist crafting it. I couldn't agree more. I probably spend 30% of my time building things I'll will never use. Isn't that strange? For me, I like experimenting with new techniques and materials. So I often build something that will give me the chance to try some new things out, even if I will never use it. I mean, I just spent three weeks building a Tarrasque that I will never ever use. I just got caught with a cool idea. Plus I have never built a creature before...not even a purple worm.

From the blog at the bottom of the post, it looks a tin foil filler and Magic Sculpt was used.

On a happier note: over coffee this morning I made 200 DMG style closed books. Is anyone looking to fill up a library? I will be making more tonight. Im thinking of doing maybe doing a couple of sets of 300 books each if anyone is interested.... i wouldn't mind receiving some of those, but i am already receiving a package from tauster and i am in europe. I would like to give someone a chance that hasn't gotten anything yet. However, if no one wants a set, I will gladly send one out to you.

I would check out SmoothOn's website. They have tons of info (step by step) for casting. Though you may find some help here.
