Here is a WiP shot of my Reaper Dragons Don't Share ruins. I painted them using gamedecor.com Cavern Stone set and black wash for the ruins and the ground using the Rich Earth set. A lot of detailing still needs to be done along with flocking etc (not to mention the dragon!). Any suggestions on where to take it from here are very welcome.

Hello! Have you compared these 28mm miniatures to the standard plastic D&D miniatures, or Pathfinder, Reaper metal or plastic? I've always wanted to buy some of these things for fantasy games but sadly people who collect these usually compare them to historical figures only.

Why did you base the terrain? It seems they would be more useful as modular terrain.

I based the Dragons Don't Share terrain for a few reasons. The first one being that I liked the look of the assembled set, secondly I intend to mainly use it as a static diorama display piece, and third because I wanted to showcase what can be done very quickly with the Game Decor paint sets. I also found that despite heating the pieces they still had some pretty severe warping that I could only hide by basing. In retrospect it would probably have been a better idea to base the pieces individually on custom cut MDF boards so I would have the benefits of bases but also remain modular.

The Brass Bull from Reaper. I was excited to paint it up but the final product is a little boring.

ooooo, gotta love gorgon ! i think its nice.
of course when you get something in a single piece like this, its hard to make variations in it. maybe you could add rust to it.

I had originally aged him a bit but redid it because it didn't come out well. I don't really know much about the nature of Gorgons so I went with a traditional and straight forward paint job. Do they rust? What are they made of?

Gorgon are made out of iron. their body oils lubbricate their platings. but the less they move, the more they rust. they usually stay hidden during rainy days as well. basically they are just that an iron bull. so they have the same problems as iron and the same problems as bulls.
since yours is a brass one though... you could add some copper patina into it.
