My Witch Hunter conversion. Still a WIP, the hat and cloak are still a little orange for my taste and he is in desperate need of some highlighting, but I felt like he was ready to share. imageshack.com/i/ns6xwyj

I bought some of the new Citadel Technical Paints last night. In this pic I have added some "Blood For The Blood God" to my previously seen chaos warriors blades. This paint is supposed to be used to imitate blood (obviously lol). Its an ok effect overall but I'm not really that impressed with it. I'm not sure if its the effect that I don't like or the paint. What do you guys think? Heres a link to the full sized image imageshack.com/a/img837/9916/3gjz.jpg

The painting on the dwarfs is great, howeverI don't really like the miniature design. The paint however, is fantastic!

I'm not really a fan of Mantics sculpts either. I ordered their Kings of War 2 player starter set containing Dwarves and Undead back in January. After 60 days of waiting it finally arrived missing a few pieces. Unfortunately the waiting was fruitless as I don't really like their models. They are lackluster in sculpting and somewhat problematic to assemble. A lot of them have big gaps at the waist or upper back that cannot be easily fixed with green stuff. I probably won't be ordering from them again.

Looks cool! You could always say that the toxic substance is the result of magic experimentation!

I found a giant cardboard egg at Hobby Lobby about a week ago. I bought it on a whim and now I'm not really sure what to do with it. My initial idea was to make an airship from it but I wanted to see what kind of thoughts and ideas I could get from the forum. Here are pictures from multiple angles and three types of models (all 28mm) for scale purposes. What do you guys think?

That would be a smallish airship, but that is a fantastic idea. I kept going to that before I finished reading your post.

I decided to paint up one of the models I used for scale in my last post. I wanted his armor to look worn and unkempt. From the front. And another from a side angle to show the new metallic technique I tried on his armor. I don't like the way the highlighting came out on him. I have tried to give my models deeper shadows than before but it keeps turning out sloppy like this one.

A sufficiently nasty looking character for my purposes I believe. Tried playing around with the blood affect again Its a little better than last time but still not something I can see myself using often. I colored in his facial scar to give it a more red/purple/poorly healed look. I also attempted to add the hint of a five o clock shadow to his chin and cheeks.
