You did it!! Looks fabulous! You could try pinning them, but I'm not sure how many you need to do. That would be torture to do it on 30+ Need to dig out Battlefront on Xbone now! If I do more with that type of base, I'm going to pin them. So far each squad has a different but similar basing in order to both let me identify which stormtrooper is associated with which squad while still having some unity.

Well, with the large tree with a tunnel that I posted some on a long while ago, well, I ended up basing it due to the underside of it warping heavily on me. Before I'd used a piece of paper marked up to show the tunnel so that I could just pick up during play to use it, so I used a bit of grey on the top to mark the tunnel since the top was blacked out in order to show it as something to largely ignore and let you imagine them going way up without needing the hassle of the massive height needed. Based it to match the others after needing to repaint the majority of it anyway.

The ferns are a superb touch! They really add to the trees nicely. Brilliantly executed. Cheers!

With some of the plastic dinosaur/zoo/safari animal toy sets, there are some palm trees that aren't that good as palms, but there are two rings of 5 fronds each that you can clip the piece holding it in place and remove to use as great ferns with just a light brush of different green paints that take most of the plastic look out when in person, they still look a bit shinier in pictures though.

For those wondering, it's been almost 24 hours since I made them, and the logs are dry, but the rest are still to damp to work with.

Looking good! I see that you covered the paper maché completely with hotglue. That's something I did myself too, times and again - only to realize later that almost all of the texture the paper maché had wouldn't be visible afterwards. Just the really large bumps are what's left; all of the gorgeous the fine crinkles and wrinkles are gone, covered by the hotglue. I haven't found an optimal solution and do this 'waste' of time and material and still do this from time to time (mostly because sometimes I just forget about this during crafting), but I try to remember it and use either paper maché or hotglue for texturing.

About 2:50 in Wow, I knew it had popped up on the Weekender one week on Beasts of War, didn't realize it went beyond that and their glance over the hobby thread live streams...

Got the next step for the trees done. Trying a slight variation in my normal basing method due to a suggestion from a friend. She's always dampened sand when using it in basing with a spray bottle before spreading it over glue on the base. Trying it out and if it works better, I'll probably switch to it for most things. Won't work with my Rebel force since that's using superglue, but with white glue it looks like it's mixing a bit better with the sand.

You make it look easy enough for an Ewok to do! Ewok construction techniques are pretty far along with log & rope technology considering what they've been shown doing. The 3 foot teddy bear things making things like the log traps with logs many times their dimensions for example, plus the tree village. Sure, as of the Ewok specific stuff, they have a lot of magic tossed in as well, but still that's no simple feat... And I've started flocking the trees, not fully dry yet for the second stage.

They look great...going to have to try that (adds to endless list of crafts to start) They're simple and easy to make, there is also the time which is great if you have short periods of time to work and don't mind leaving your crafting area set up. Not so good if you need to keep packing it up.

Well, the trees finished drying and I painted General Veers while they finished up. Got a couple quick pics of things along with some other terrain while I pulled out my grass mat.
