I had a dream years ago (about 30 years, plus or minus) of having a sprawling medieval landscape with towers, taverns, etc.
I started playing D&D not long after that and that fueled my imagination even more.
I came across DMScotty's videos when I was looking at buying a wagon for our gaming sessions.
Over 40 videos later and my passion for making that landscape is back and stronger than ever.
I'm trying to learn as much as I can from all of the videos and posts here. Hopefully I can pull off some crafts that are worthy of being shown here. I am really impressed with the quality and creativity you guys show.
In the meantime, I'll keep reading the posts and watching the videos.

Welcome aboard! Before you know it you will build a fleet of wagons! And mushrooms. Don't you dare forget the funghi. ...oh, and tentacles too! Glue magnets in their ends and then in everything else you craft. Everything gets better with tentacles. Even mushrooms.

Welcome, if you can dream it, you can build it. Heck, if you can think it, odds are someone here can help you craft it.

Welcome aboard.... Do or do not, do not try *in my best Yoda voice*. No matter how crappy you think it might be your players will be impressed that you took the time and effort to make something. You'll see every imperfection but the players will not. You are your own worse critic. I just know for myself that when I make something the first time I don't like it. I'll usually try to prototype something first, because while making it I'll realize there was a better way to approach it. No body starts out painting a masterpiece. I've made a bunch of blunders and have asked for help and watched other people who have made vids and talked about making their own stuff. I'll be watching a vid and see someone do something and all of sudden know where I went wrong on something I made. The most important thing I think is having fun crafting and that your players have fun playing.

Then you become like me and look for large lots of land to build a gaming warehouse... just to game in... I've been looking for a house with an obscenely large basement just for such an occasion.

Then you become like me and look for large lots of land to build a gaming warehouse... just to game in... Lol, yeah the tiles I made for the truck stop are most likely going to be bigger than the table we're gaming on tomorrow. Might have to take the laser pointer and have one of the younglings move the minis around to save wear and tear on my Old Fart Knees and back.
