As a side note, if you're reusing what had been used to pack meat, it's not a very good idea there.
It's a major contamination issue that could create other problems.

That thought has crossed my mind, and for that very reason I've taken some pretty great pains to ensure that they were thoroughly sanitized. It's an extra step to have to take, but I am not about to make the gang sick, LOL!

The stuff pretty much acts as a sponge, and often becomes the core of either something that can spread illnesses directly or act as the core of stuff to feed some of the nastier molds... On top of that it can spread to other things kept near them. Spend the extra buck or so for foam board, the risks aren't worth the savings.

Hmm... well it sounds like you've though this out pretty thoroughly. I appreciate the feedback and most definitely will take it under advisement. It will mean better planning on my part since my access to shops that sell things like foam are limited to around once a week but I should be able to bulk buy it or something.

i thik this is actually hamil doing the voice here. That, sir, is one of my favorite shows from days gone by! Before I ran out of time to watch TV I'd stay up late just to watch binge runs of robot chick... Seth Green was le MAN! Are new episodes still happening?

Maybe you should focus on planning out exactly what you want to craft and keep a list of what you will need. Then when you can go and get stuff once a week you won't forget anything important and your crafting won't be hindered as much. Planning takes some time and effort but it's probably still better than waiting a week until you can get something ;-)

Alexis I think that's going to be the ticket. It's just another project complete with limited resources and scheduling conflicts! On the plus side, I can break out my goals into completely separate tracks, because I'm simultaneously tackling the basic board/wall/door thing and - since there was some interest in one of my electronics ideas - I decided to start that as well... and I already have that stuff lying around in the shop, so there shouldn't be any problem on keeping the ball rolling!

Good for you ^^ I'm certainly interested in seeing what you do with the electronic stuff.

Are new episodes still happening? i have no idea, i never actually saw the show, only clips on the internet. in fact, i castrated my TV in 2004 and haven't watched regular tv since then.

I don't bother using the foamcore and peeling of one of the paper layers. I don't even know where to get that where I live. I just use styrofoam/polystyrene sheets and I can get a square meter that is about 1 centimeter thick for under 1$. They're really huge and last a long time. I get them in a hardware store and they're designed for packaging.

Don't. We are all still learning. No matter our skill set or the amount of time we have been crafting. I agree with Shinobi, I would spend a little more time fixing it. If you didn't, you would only ever see yellow walls for as long as you used them. I have been known to actually build something I was happy with and take it apart simply because I found a way in the middle of the build to improve it! My friends call me crazy but without failure there can be no real success! Plus I just like to take stuff apart to see how it woks (ed)
