Some great stuff there! I'm going to find you, come to your house and demand a game with all the stuff you've made!

I would be glad to have crafters come and play in a game of mine where I could use my stuff! Most of my players (as good of friends and players as they are), are not very crafty and seem to be largely uninterested in the details behind these projects. One of them takes pictures and posts them on Instagram and Facebook, but for the most part I get the reaction of "whoa" or "neat". Which is still nice... but it doesn't open up much dialogue.
Next up, I think I will display my oliphant. He isn't finished yet, mainly because I am at a loss as to what to do for his tusks, but he is still a project that has turned out pretty satisfactory thus far. I also have my Golem of the Dishonored Ancestors on the back burner (seen in my "Monster Butt" thread), and a lot of upcoming terrain pieces that I will be working on for my TRON game. Although, admittedly, the TRON stuff will be little more than sprayed with black gloss paint and then have some simple lines put on with UV reactive paints. There is also another ship that is nearing completion, but I have not touched it with a brush yet... as my wife has somewhat adopted it as her project. And since she has done so much on it thus far... I don't want to take it from her. So, I may or may not post that one here.

Oh no Erasmas! Apparently you're out of photobucket bandwidth

Yeah, I just figured that out this morning. Sorry guys! I am looking into how much it would cost to upgrade, but it's unlikely that I will bother to pay for it. I know Imgur is a good alternative, but it is blocked at work... so that severely limits my ability to interact with my posted pictures.

Yes, it is... sadly. I didn't even know that was a thing until today. I haven't had that problem in the 10 years that I've had that account.
Apparently, there was just too much to share with you good people here! I am looking into fixing the situation.

Dude that Kraken is friggin' brilliant, beautiful paint job too. The modular tentacles are genius!
Aaaaaand I posted before looking at the airship. Really admire the eclectic use of materials. Mr. Erasmas, you make good cookies.

Thank you very much, Justice! The modular tentacle idea was not mine, but one that I read about somewhere years ago and thought, "that's cool and different". But yeah, I love being able to use parts from all kinds of different things for new purposes. About half of the entire closet of my D&D Room is full of storage bins with this kind of stuff. I have a Gears & Rounds bin, a Cones bin, a Body Parts bin, a section of interesting textured sheets, etc.
My players even occasionally bring me random pieces of stuff they find that they think I might be able to use.

Which one are you referring to, Noctuary? The kraken? I'd love to hear about your encounter and how you used what you had!
And thank you for the compliments, by the way!

Wow!!! Superb work! By the way, that device your wife found, and gave you, which you put into the mast, is a gasoline fuel filter for use in a car, truck, or motorcycle (I have one in my garage). It looks great in the mast of this steampunk'ish ship. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

That turned out great! I have the same octopus and have been wondering what to do with it. Thanks for the inspiration.

The kraken yes, I had drawn out a boat deck on my dry erase board which the players moved about. They were attacked by a kraken (an octopus dog toy). The fight was great and this was before I found DM Scotty and DMG or this excellent website!

Thank you, Bradley! Here is some of what I have done so far for my upcoming TRON game. As you can see by the dust on one of these pieces, some of these have been done for a while now and have been sitting around waiting for me to finish them up. Most of this stuff is simply primed at this stage - I will be going back and painting on lines of different colors as well as some UV Reactive/glow-in-the-dark paints that I got ahold of specifically for this project. I found a Hot Wheels model that I really liked the size and shape of for the light cycles - the Dodge Tomahawk. So, I tracked down eight of these (enough for each PC, as well as a handful of baddies) and primed them black. Not my picture, just what they looked like beforehand. And the fleet afterwards... I also found some of those cars where you pull them back and let them go on their own... and the rubber tires that they had just so happen to glow well under blacklight. And, they were from the dollar store to boot - so I snagged a few, removed the tires for the time being, and primed them as well.
And some of the figures I will be using for the game. The Cyclops I haven't decided on yet... which is why I haven't rebased or primed him. The ones with the largest flat bases (including the two on the bottom that have their primary stripes (done as a test)) are all from HeroScape, with various methods of manipulation done to them - such as applying many layers of PVA glue to some of the faces to make them into masks instead; swapping body parts to change up the poses; removing weapons from hands and replaces with 'discs' (which are all tiny rubber o-rings). The one primed white is going to be a Siren and will have an umbrella (like in the Legacy movie) with a clear canopy that will be added after painting is done. This is a terrain piece that will be used as both a platform to land on and a line of sight blocker. This is the dustiest piece - apologies for that! Anyways, it was a red-backed CD that was bound for the trash, with several parts of other things glued to it. I put down some hot glue, primed it, and then painted it. I then pulled up the hot glue to reveal the shiny red CD beneath it. It still needs its fluorescent treatment as well. And finally here it all is together. The other piece in this picture is a tower, made from a plastic tea bottle put onto a Sculpey base... also primed black (are you noticing a theme yet?).
