Thanks, SpielMeisterKev! , for pointing out the performance hit long threads, with multiple images, can take on a PC downloading. It hearkens back to the days of dial-up, but the reality is that not everyone has hi-speed Internet service. Not only that, but downloading loads of images can slow down lower-performing PC's, as well. I think those of us who are blessed with both hi-speed ISP's and powerful PC's, tend to forget that not everyone has the Internet horsepower the rest of us have. I actually prefer multiple threads: it creates new threads, which is not a bad thing, IMO. It tends to refresh this site a bit. I agree, since DM Scotty abandoned this forum for FB, things have certainly slowed down. As stated previously, I can't tolerate FB. This is my preferred method of posting/sharing. Thanks for the shout-out, SpielMeisterKev! . Though I do not participate in the painting contests for a few reasons, I appreciate the effort you put into it. I hope you stick around for a long time. When it comes time to leave this forum, I'd be happy to turn off the lights, but... I don't know where the switch is! Cheers! having multiple threads also risks losing your work to mass thread posts like this though . YES it may slow down some older PC's , but it means ALL of his work would be there to be seen , not JUST those that are more popular and get commented on . how many new members REALLY go back more than 2 pages in the MULTIPLE sections of a forum like this ? past 3 pages ? all the way to the end ? updating ONE thread always bumps it to the top to let people know new content is added , and gives better access to one pieces .
i too HATE FB . this very reason of burying posts is the biggest part of that .
and its sad that some people seek the riches of the social media life . while i greatly respect scotty , he is off being a "content creator" , so most of the posts i DO see from him on FB is to promote his personal website , his patreon , or his amazon affiliate links . i DO have my own YOUTUBE channel , but i hope its never as big as scotty's . i want to do what i do for the love of gaming , not for the need to get paid . its a problem i see with A LOT of the bigger channels , they seek sponsors , and do videos reviewing and pushing products (because they MUST make a video to get views and patereon donations rolling in ) , not actually MAKING something cool .

A skeleton is walking around and you're worried about how he's going to blow a horn?! Not finding fault grandinquisitorkris, just struck me funny about your question! how threatening can he really be though , i mean he MUST know he is a skeleton , but he still holds onto that horn ............

instead of making a ton of individual threads of dif. figs , have you thought of doing ONE thread with all of the figs ? it would make it easier to keep up with without posting a ton of threads to open up to see your work .

frst let me say this video kinda sucks ............. i had a lot of problems and delays due to work and health . the only way to really fix them would be to start it over from scratch , but i chose to just go with what i have and be done with this episode .
in the video i take those cheap paper mache houses you can buy at craft stores and turn them into something usable for miniatures gaming .

Looks amazingly gory and disturbing, great stuff! This would be a perfect case for making a silicone-and-cornstarch mold, you know? i already have a mold for them , i made the first one and cast it , this is a pour from that cast .
its hard for me to paint figures , i have a messed up back and some disks so my hands shake real bad and i get headaches if i tilt my head for too long , so thats why it took me so long to get these painted .
i had wanted to paint them for a long time , and used the NEED to paint them for my ETSY shop as the fianl motivator to get them done . i plan to use them for a variety of games , but originally made them to add to my "corpse piles" for Shadows of Brimstone i went with more of my "nurgle wash" , i wanted them more dark and dingy so they look like they have been there for a while .
the pictures are of the large and medium ones , i also have a set of small ones (30mmacross) that i have 18 of painted up , i can fill up a pretty good map with LOTS of gore now

FINALLY got around to painting some of the BIGGER carnage piles to photograph for my ETSY shop ........ not super enthused about the paint jobs but its better than just having resin pics , and with as hard as it is for me to paint anymore because of the disk problems in my neck its the best i could do ............ i may go back and give them a black wash to darken them up a bit more before i seal them ...........
the driving force to get these painted was so i could upload the pics for my ETSY shop , but i've been needing to do these for a long while now so i could put them with all my other zombie stuff and have them to play with ..............

I was googling Car Wars and found this useful guy:
On a related note, Games Workshop had a similar game I guess?
Cool!
i had a copy of dark future , the rules were poorly written and even more poorly organized . i sold it for cheap to another local gamer , i DONT miss it .

Ive been eyeballing that game on ebay for awhile, thought it looked fun...never played it. I was also thinking about scaling it up to 1/43 so I can use my builds in the game... lol
have you played it yet? Is it fun? Wondering if I should save pennies for it
thanks for sharing 2 scaling it up to 1:43 would be problematic just based on the sixe of boards you would need to make and be able to move around . it could probably be scaled up to hotwheels sclae without too much trouble though .
as for fun , ............... im gonna try and buy ANOTHER copy just for the parts so i can pimp out my set to the max . IT IS A BLAST to play !! definitely one of the better games i have bought in all my years !
its simple enough to learn and rope other players into , but even as simple as it is , there is a surprising amount of strategy that can go into the game when you have more players .

i dont know why , the thumb nail on the video is upside down , when i took the pic it was upside down , but i rotated it in editing before uploading it to YOUTUBE for the video . but for some reason YOUTUBE refuses to upload the edited rotated version and simply uploads the upside down version , so ............
but the video itself IS rotated to show right side up ..............
