I like level 4, but I don't always get to have my terrain at that level, though I do aspire to it! I'm usually at level 3.

I found Scatter Craft's channel about 3 weeks ago and have been watching his videos! He does make some really great crafts! I thought his mushrooms were really great looking!

Behr brand paints makes a 'magnetic' paint, which is actually metal filings mixed in the paint. I've heard it works better than the spray version, but have not tried it myself. I do have a can of it I bought a while back with the intention of using it, but have yet had the extra money to get the wood that I was going to paint it on.

I think overall, the mini looks good! I still haven't bought a 3d printer, but hope to get one sometime soon.

Your are correct, Sam , there are a lot of options for inexpensive fantasy miniatures, on the market today. Reaper Bones are a steal, on their KickStarters, if you can configure mini's that you want and need. I typically wait until they're commercially available on their web catalog, as I don't need too many anymore. Sooo many options and ideas... Cheers!
Sooo much temptation! Heee Heee Heee Haa Haa Haa Haa Ha!

Yes, you can use almost any acrylic just need to add some airbrush thinner which is just Glycerin and Isopropyl alcohol. Ive tried to this down some Apple Barrel paint(basic acrylic craft paint) with some success, and I thinned Games Workshop brand "Genestealer purple" Layer Acrylic and even GW's Purple ink with no thinner. Not bad stuff! Its easy to use, surprisingly so. I think you have to play with air speed and distance as well as the paint used for a while but its a lot of fun! Erho, you are right about adjusting the air pressure(speed) and distance when using an airbrush. You can get really great results from an airbrush, but like anything else, practice makes perfect. Course, airbrushes are a little more complex than say just a regular paint brush, so it's going to take more practice.

tauster , rather than using rubber bands, why not make some straps with buckles? Just attach them to the box with screws and hide the screw heads with either the round wooden caps that are normally used for covering screw holes in things like selves or some other kind of cap. Just attach them with a small amount of E6000.

I hear you... I took a longer break from participating in any kickstarters, but now it is this one, plus the Reaper Bones 5 (I haven't painted much from the heaps of minis in #1 and #2) and Numenera: Liminal Shores. Yeah, I've already signed up for Bones 5, I have heaps of minis to paint from 1, 2 and 3! But 5 had a bunch of town's folk that I really liked, so I've signed up for the core and the town's folk add on. ...oh shit. I just stumbled over these little beauties:
Tauster, stop it already!

Those look better! I've found that if I take a picture of something then look at the picture, it shows me the real look of the craft! For instance, in the picture I'll see the areas of white that I missed after painting something. Not sure whether my brain is just ignoring it when I'm looking at the piece or not, but I sure see those details when I look at it again in picture form!
