I picked up the colored rubber bands a while ago to use for spell effects. As far as using some kind of system to keep track of figures, I have picked up the number and alphabet beads to attach to bases, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet as I've got a lot of prepainted minis and even more unpainted minis that I need to spend time adding them to.

I've been using it for the past year or so. It is very easy to use and I like that it is free.

I also search Thingiverse for the free stuff, but will buy/contribute to the artists when I find a model I really like. I'm also a patron of One Page Rules on myminifactory. I've looked at other artists on myminifactory, but I've only got so much money to spend! LOL!

As always, I like the bright and vibrant colors you use on your minis, very nice.

I agree with the mention of Crooked Staff Terrain. He does some really great paper terrain from your typical dungeons, to buildings, to mini hex maps for quick village layouts on the table. I would say his hex maps are more for showing what the village or small town looks like, rather than to actually play on but they look great! All his stuff looks great and I own the files for most if not all of it.

I'll need to start posting some of my work. I bought a filament 3d printer and a resin 3d printer a little while back. The filament one is for terrain while the resin one is for minis. I've been printing lots of terrain and painting some of it so I need to take some pictures.

I could see something like that working for larger figures, but medium size and smaller, you're right to much complexity. I've got to many Bones figures to paint already, so I'm not going to be buying to many of them it I buy any at all.

I've found Sharpie markers in multiple color packs. I wonder how well that would work with the watercolors painted over them, that is if you wanted to use more than just black. My only thoughts about copying is it looks like the colors shifted, or is that just the photo? Also, have you tried using foam brushes? Not sure if you're worried about brush strokes or not. Foam ones should apply the paint a little more uniform. While the colored pencils are probably easier to deal with, the watercolors look a lot more striking and vibrant. I'd stick with the watercolors, they look better to me.

Looking forward to seeing what comes of your world mapping project. I saw that article when it first came out and remember using that kind of map template when I was running Traveller. Some very interesting ideas you have for making your world.

The Michaels near me has started carrying rolls of the stuff in a section labeled Cosplay. Watched a couple of videos by Knarb Makes www.youtube.com/channel/UCINK0NQc18vYefCcZy4GRWA, where he uses the thin stuff to make battle matts that you can roll up! Very cool.

When DMScotty was thinking of moving to a different forum, I offered to host it on my personal website. Had the space, would not have charged him anything and could have easily set the forum up to give him admin rights, but he obviously wanted to go with the Proboards solution. I think a couple of other members did something similar. Hopefully something will happen concerning your above posts sgtslag. I don't post that often, but do stop by to look on occasion.

The Skeletal Maiden is anything but a 'skeletal maiden'... It looks like a humanoid Fire Elemental of some sort. Kind of neat! Cheers!
You're right that does look like some kind of Fire Elemental.
