Awesome! Your board is worthy of his praise! I tried to sign up like over a week ago and they never sent me back an email approving me.

There are 4 sizes of tree in the package that I bought. There are 32 trees total. The tallest tree stands exactly 5" tall when mounted in my bases. Here is a pic with all 4 trees for perspective. You can see in the last pic that they come without bases and you have to mount them yourself. I ended up going with a hard matte board base topped with some good foamcore, not the cheap dollar store stuff. The good stuff has a very hard paper backing which does NOT peel off easily. I think it holds its rigidity well. I did not add snow to the trees, I bought them like that. The total price was $18.56 shipped from China. I ordered them Jan 18th and they arrived Jan 28th. Here is a link to the exact trees I ordered. That seller has a LOT of stuff there. I will be placing a bunch of tree orders from him of different types. www.ebay.com/itm/32-Multi-Scale-Model-Cedar-Trees-with-Snow-Diorama-Train-Railway-Winter-Scenery-/381457087159?hash=item58d09d3ab7:g:p3YAAOSw7ThUgD8eWas wondering if you could give me your recipe for paint sand mixture. I need to base my trees. I like how your's turned out. Did you use play sand? Did you also mix white glue in? I like the shapes you chose for your bases. These really are gorgeous trees -- hands down best looking Frostgrave trees I've seen yet (personal opinion).

Lol my recipe. You should know by now that I don't care that much. My recipe is exactly that....paint and sand. I squeeze a bunch of paint onto a platter, then I dump a bunch of coarse sand that I bought at the craft store on it. Mix it all up and liberally slap it on there. That's the science of it all =)
Thanks for the compliment but I didn't do much, I really just slapped it all together.

I wasn't being a smartass...there is no recipe. I measure nothing. I just dump the paint, dump the sand, mix and apply. If I had a recipe I would gladly share it. If you would like a video I can make one =)

My order from thedicebaglady.net arrived today. Guess I have some painting to do now. What type of glue do most people use to assemble plastic figures? Never bought them unassembled on sprues before. Also, what is the best way to prime these? I don't have any actual mini paint primers on hand. I have plenty of black rattle cans that I have used for priming certain terrain pieces in the past. Will that work ok or will it cover up details? After seeing the quality of the bag that I ordered with the frostgrave cards I think I may be ordering a couple dice bags from her in the future. How did the gluing go with the soldiers and e6000? Been thinking I need to buy this box of soldiers. Have you painted any? What do you think of the set. I really need to get going on this Frostgrave board so me and my nephew can play.. missing a lot of minis.

Sure but not much to see. I only put together 10 of them I think. I started working on them weeks ago one day and then never got back to them. I assembled 10 of the soldiers, sprayed them a black base, and put some sand on the base. That's where they sit. Room is pretty dark this morning so it's kinda hard to see, but this is all I have so far. I do love the variety though and will make some great D&D adventurers also.

Hey Meph, I'm close to placing an order with thedicebaglady.net. I am going to get the box of soldiers and a set of those treasure chests you got -- you did a gorgeous paint job on those and will probably ask for some advice when I get around to painting them. In addition to the soldiers and treasure chests I was thinking about the following. It's only 6.50 British pounds. It's a set of 3 weapon racks. What do you think guys? SHould I get the weapon racks as well?--since it will be combined shipping. The weapons are to scale and can actually be cut off the racks and used if someone wanted. Just thought these racks might look pretty nice painted and along the wall of some dungeon room. Or is there a better deal somewhere else? Perhaps something I can craft easily?

I cant say about the price but as for crafting that seems like a decent price and will save you at least a hour or 2 per rack so well worth it in my opinion with the added bonus of being able to use them in miniatures and other crafts

I like the style of those weapon racks, but I wouldn't buy them.
You can buy a huge pile of warhammer bits for 6.5 GBP on ebay.
Building those racks will take 40 minutes and glueing some weapons on top of them another 20 (drying time not included).
You'll have lots of bits left for treasure markers, building terrain or modifying your miniatures.

I am guessing I can use these weapons with the GBP, Perry & Fireforge box kits as well?

Really no need to worry about snow on trees! Your method looks awesome! Consider it pinched! If you dont mind that is....
