Wow that mausoleum is really amazing! You are so creative! I like that you can take the top off and use it. The one I am building you can't but I could of made it that way.. Well I could probably convert it. I can't believe the winter wonderland you are in now, that photo is pretty intense. How cold is it there?

I kinda took the last 2 nights off but I did manage to squeak out a couple tiny things. Last night I added a base to my Mausoleum complete with grid. This was a fast add and I am not happy with the quality but I really wanted to just see how it looks. I am going to make a new one, take my time with it, and skip the grid. It's such a small area that there is no need for it. And tonight I whipped together a treasure token for Frostgrave. It's just a simple suit of armor but it will double for a D&D piece also. I used hot glue which isn't bonding well with the plastic so I think i'll have to E6000 it. I also started on some new stone walls. 6 pieces, 15 inches each. I might do a couple more. They are intended to frame in the cemetery. I will post pics when they are done. Looks like I am accumulating a boat load of stuff that needs painting. One night I will have to get that all caught up.

I think the Mausoleum looks great That suit of armor looks like a practice dummy, very cool. I might do that too.. and like put a target on it

You did a fantastic job on the stone work! It looks great. I also love the suit of armor. When the maus gets painted it's going to look bad-ass!

Wow! Very impressive work. Looks professional, even without the paint! Your players are going to be sooo spoiled... Enjoy! Cheers!

Starting to look good. Will you bridge be stone covered in snow and ice? Or just Ice?

Hey I have alot of those props from the same bucket What are those brown rectangular things with wheels? I see you have them sitting upright there, but what are they actually for? Btw, Mausoleum looks nice painted! Great job That long bridge is very cool! Looks like it would make for some very interesting strategic battle Assuming it isn't scaleable from the side.

I might actually paint them up and use them on my table since they work well to block line of sight, which is the point of all the scatter pieces.

Well remember that anything in this game is considered climbable. I guess it all depends if I want to build an exposed support in the center. If I don't then the only climbable surfaces will be the ends. The Mausoleum isn't done. I am probably going with a copper color for the roof frame on the top and maybe mix copper and some green for the roof panels. I was also toying with the idea of a greenish tint to the brick but only if I don't go with snow. I am still torn on that idea. I did want these pieces to be as versatile as possible and I figured if my surface is snow and most of the scatter pieces are snow, then that would convey the effect just fine. We'll see I am already working on an idea for a new board that totally throws out the ice theme.

Like in my other post I want it all to be as versatile as possible so I am not sure if I will go with painted snow on it or not. I may just say screw it and make everything snow for a dedicated table and then start work on other terrain without snow.

Mantlets are also a rather easy project...and if you want an easy filler option for some of the ranked battle wargames, a row of them works well to fill up an entire rank with your troops behind them, especially with archers...

We'll see I am already working on an idea for a new board that totally throws out the ice theme. Well the book also says you can declare what is and isn't climbable. I'll probably be doing that a lot because the rules seem a bit too flexible with respect to climbing things. We'll adjust the rules as needed to make the game interesting. Not being able to climb that bridge from the middle would make the game really interesting. Can have treasure chests in the middle of the field on each side of the bridge, and archers and spellcasters doing damage to them from the bridge, heh heh. I have settled with a snow mat and all the buildings having the same stone grey color scheme. It looks pretty good -- cohesive. And that way I can use the buildings and what not in other non Frostgrave settings. I guess being that medium stone grey, they can be used in any setting and look good.
