Ok, just an idea I've been thinking of.
Since this is one of the most friendliest and laid back communities I've come across in a loooong time, so I thought I'd run it past you lot to see your thoughts about it.
Since we are all about sharing knowledge and content of the craft, would any of you be interested in joining some type of Dungeon crafters guild network for sites/channels etc?
I'm not talking of anything too involved other than probably displaying a badge on your site or whatever to show your membership and a page listing all the other network members with links. this way we can refer visitors to each other and help each other promote our stuff?
I can create any graphics needed in not much time at all, and as far as I can see, it'd only take a moment to stick a link page up if you think about it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trivialising any work that would need doing in the long run (If popular) but the main admin and organisation of this links page can be easily sorted by a G+ group or even here if Scotty and the admins would allow?
So, would this be of interest?

seems like it would be handy to have a list of crafters who have their own websites, youtube channels and such.
btw: i have some experience running forums like this one. if needed i could set one up for it.

I'm onboard, but I can only provide content, since I've got no skills running websites or doing graphics digital. I can draw, I can craft and I can do music. Oh, I'm also an expert in delivering in the last minute. Usually rushed and unfinished. BTW, only got a youtube-channel so far: www.youtube.com/channel/UCVgKFKHvDG51aqFFADc0DnA/videos

If you are on FaceBook there is the "Crafting Content Creators Support Network" I created. It is a closed group of channel creators where we share ideas, observations and answer questions about creating crafting channels on YouTube and other general content questions. It is only for people who are actually starting a channel, or have a channel already. It is not for general consumption. Before you are accepted we ask for your channel link, so if you don't have one yet - create it first.

I like the idea.... I don't have a chan or web page up but after a dry run at a convention it would be cool....
After turning to the community here and having a dry run I've got a plan worked out from some day trip conventions in the spring and summer.

I am interested. I only have my blog. Not interested in a YouTube channel (especially since I don't have the equipment or time). And I hate Facebook with the firey passion of a thousand burning suns. But definitely interested in providing links to other people's stuff, or posting stuff for others.

Thanks for your replies guys, looks promising with the network so lets get something sorted!!
daveyjones: I wouldn't have thought we need a forum just yet, but if we do we would need admins to keep all the info up to date!
Maybe a webpage or even G+ group would do at first (as well as us webmasters posting a page on their site with a list of links and descriptions etc) Do you have a site or channel?
JohnP: Thats fine, video channels are cool, maybe you could include a screen and/or some links to either a central webpage with the list/links or point veiwers to other network members.
DMG: Thanks dude, I'd love to start a channel, only my equipment is not up to par just yet, plus I doubt that time allows me at the moment. Maybe next year (need a decent cam and mic) I'll get started on one!
Runningwolf: Sounds good, you could effectively be our guy for propoganda!! plugging us around the cons! You could always post up a basic page somewhere as well to help spread the word too!!
bluecloud2k2: Cool, I'm in the same boat as you (I only blog at present!) consider yourself added to the list of guild members!!
OK, I'll get started on some graphics in the morning (it's 12.40 am here in the UK, so will be going to bed in a bit) so will start that tomoz. I'll get a banner, S/M/L badges made and anything else I can think of. Let me know if any of you need anything specific doing.
Also, we'll have to come up with a sort of loose membership list that states what members need to do to be part of the network:
eg; must have some material pertaining to dungeon crafting/fantasy, modern or scifi terrain making etc, Display links to other members sites/channels etc, openly display badge/banner etc etc
Feel free to post suggestions to get these things pinned down.
Also I think we need to post up our links and a nice few lines/paragraph describing our sites, then we can organise the links proper on our various pages/channels etc. Sell yourself to potential visitors!!
Anyone else up for joining? or any more suggestions?
Lets get developing this into something cool guys!!

I am definitely willing to try this out. I don't have much in the ways of a youtube channel, but I am very good with graphics design and i can start posting videos of my own crafting style too. Also, I publish role playing game books, so I can put some of the ideas for supplements or crafting into writing if anyone wants.

i have a homepage with my isp. you might also consider a wiki. anonymous cells made good use of them during the great war on scientology of 08. and i remember some time ago you used to have these things called 'web rings'. anyone remember those?

Finally got some graphic bits done, mind you they're only basic, so please let me know some ideas for a more finished set, but they'll do for now. Like I said, these are just a quick set, we can make more elaborate or colourful ones as things progress. Also if you need a specific sized graphic I can resize them as needed (or create new shapes etc) just let me know. Just make sure that you "save as" the gaphics to your own machine and sites (hotlinking these will hammer my sites bandwith, so please upload them to your own hosting/space!) whimsicalone It doesn't matter if you don't have a channel, neither do I (just a website/blog) We are probably going to need a central Dungeon crafters guild website/page/whatever to direct traffic to and from, just to feed through visitors and post all of our links up, so we'll need a few of us to maintain it and make sure its up to date and so on. Also since you have a publisher page, you'll be able to embed your links to related content and develop associated dungeony products (like me www.wargamevault.com/browse/pub/8807/Grinning-Skull-Studios) Daveyjones Yeah, a home page is cool, maybe you could post some of your stuff there and build up from there (have you got a link?) Wikis are good, although a lot of work to maintain, if we get big enough we might eventually need one! Webrings seem to all be spammy, but I guess this could be counted as such! What I'll do next, is draft up some template type draft with some details. I do need your links and blurbs to both set up a template/page thingy and to put your details on my site, so post up your blurbs, and dont forget to sell yourself in the description.

If not, do what I did, make a Blog on Wordpress (its free) and just post pics and build processes. *shrug* I've seen pics of your stuff, and you do good work.

Hey everyone, sorry no update, i haven't been able to log in for some reason, but seems ok at the moment. Anyway, I'm trying to get the template page done, but need those of you interested to post your links with a description of either your blog/channel/site etc, then i can put it together. Then Its just a matter of cutting and pasting the info onto your own site page dedicated to the network to redirect to each other. If your having problems with anything, post it here and we'll try and work out a way of getting it done somehow....

Ok, Had chance to brainfart some template together, still need some interesting blurbs/taglines to describe and sell yourselves, so post them here. Also before I carry on, I'm thinking now we probably need a central page/site & email to organize ourselves, so those of you without sites or channels who wanted to help out, would this administration/organisation be of interest to you, we really need to keep the link list as up to date as we can, that way we can simply update it on our sites! I can help out with writing/graphics/research etc if needed, but keep the suggestions coming, as we can develop to other forms (be it G+, FB etc if need be.) Anyway, heres a rough draft of the page, again, if i've missed anything, need to add more or rewording to it, post up the suggestions/edits etc and we'll put it together. (Also let me know if I have the right info!) Rough Page Draft:
Dungeon Crafters Guild Network
The Dungeon Crafters Guild is a network of miniature dungeon builders and crafters on the web who offer content, tutorials and information for RPGs, Wargames and Diorama modelmaking through their chosen media outlets (Websites/Youtube Channels/organisations etc)
Our members primarily deal with 28mm Fantasy Dungeon building in its many forms, but our love of miniatures and crafting stretch far beyond just fantasy crafting and may also include other genres of miniature model building, tips, tricks and techniques.
If you'd like to join our network, please contact one of our members, so that we can update our list.
We ask that all perspective members have the following topics or themes to their chosen site/channel etc:
- Dungeon Crafting and Terrain building tutorials
- Scratch building tips, hints and techniques
- Free crafting resources (papermodels, floorplans, maps, textures, software etc)
- General promotion of dungeon Crafting/ scratchbuilding
