I love these monsters, but I don't have shells. I'm thinking I'll print a few and then drill a few holes and add the wire tentacles! Thanks dodobot!

I might try to mock one of these up for 3D printing!

Well done! I'm going to look for some plastic sharks and see if I can duplicate your work!

Thanks. Look forward to seeing your videos. Does the eye look that bad guys? I thought it looked fairly rounded and okay as is. I know I need to smooth it out still; just wasn't finished with it yet. Nope. The eye looks great. Just a suggestion that came to mind.

Nice! Heroforge is similar, but they print it for you. This is great for ones that have 3d printers! Yeah, he was trying to make a DIY way to design and print minis at home. I just printed a few wizards -- pretty good result -- for about $0.25.

I was part of this Kickstarter and it is finally out of beta. Free to use! Model and pose your own mini then 3D print it. Great stuff! desktophero3d.com/I'll post some minis that I make here in this thread. If you make some, please do the same. This is a real game changer if you want a mini that matches your PC.

That is a really great find. Just the perfect shape for a generic statue. I printed up 6 for my "dungeon dressing" box. Posted a remix here www.thingiverse.com/thing:2774413

Dunno. I still find things there and I usually tweak them to my liking. I've posted a lot of models there, if you haven't seen them. www.thingiverse.com/jpacek/about

That is a WONDERFULLY bizarre & imaginative creation. It looks SPLENDID with your other lovely scenery pieces. I would guess that it is as much fun to game on as it is to stare at. VERY WELL DONE!High praise indeed, coming from you. Thank you!

That's so cool, did it take a while to paint? Looks really nice the paint job too! Not really. I used hot glue to texture the central part of the tower and I drybrushed it with grey. I did the sponge stamp process on the floor areas. Then I hot glued on the stairs and wall sections. Drybrushed those. Maybe an hour if all your paints and tools are ready.

I need to get a printer.... How did you get the floor texture, looks unique I squirted a mix of white and black acrylic paint on a plate and kinda swirled it around to get some grays. Then, I used a kitchen sponge to stamp on the texture. I use cheap sponges *a lot* to get stone type texture. Super effective.

matakishi I hate to be a pest, but I love that "low poly" cloaked statue model you have there. May I ask what it is and where to find it? I think it's a great example of a "generic" statue. Very useful. Many thanks in advance!

Do you have access to a 3D printer? I do not. Bummer. There are some cool 3D things that can integrate LEDs.
