I stole this awesome idea for a wizards tower off of a guy in one of my facebook groups. (Thanks again KEN!) It is made from a pringles can lol. Pretty quick and easy build and a nice piece of terrain for my new wargaming table. Thanks for looking!

Cool! What did you do to create the texture on the stone block portions?

Cool! What did you do to create the texture on the stone block portions? Glue and sand, black paint then two shades of grey drybushing. The Ivy/moss is the same but with two shades of green.

Very nice. Classic. The elongated proportions of the pringles can makes for a very wizardly tower.

I play a lot of Warhammer 40k. I'm looking for an alternative ruleset...

You can download the basic rules and army lists for free on their website. I used to play 40k and warhammer fantasy battle, but I think that both of their systems are over complicated. Not to mention the insane prices that GW charges for books and figures. I was at my local game store yesterday and saw 1 28mm 40k figure with a $30 price tag. And it was plastic! I have boycotted GW for years due to their greed.

Great piece. I have been playing KOW as well have three armies going 4000 point undead, 2500 kingdoms of men, a 800 point elf army. It's a fast playing wargame system and the points on KOW is made for larger army than warhammer fantasy. For example my undead would be around a 6500-7000 point army in fantasy.
The only downside to me is convincing the warhammer fanatics to play a game of KOW. It's a growing game here in the states, but for my area acceptance is still small.

Sweet tower, and a can of Pringles is pretty nice bonus, imo.

I love the 40k setting, the look and feel of their minis, but yeah....their price point is absolutely insane.... I have many armies that are at some point of progress but I stopped collecting and painting about a year ago when things got to be too ridculous, even for me (Not that they weren't ridiculous prior to then, I just could no longer justify the purchases. I have a Word Bearers force, a Space Wolves force, a Black Templar force and an Imperial Guard force all around 2000 pts. I have Blood Angels, Orcs and Tyranid forces some where around 1500 pts each, and then I have some Dark Angels and Ultramarines forces somewhere between 500 and 1000pts. So if you play 40k you realize how many minis that is AND can guess how many thousands I have probably spent on the damned things, only to watch those greedy bastards raise prices again and again and again... Do they make beautiful minis? Hell yes they, particularly via their side company Forge World. But will I ever buy from them again, not bloody likely, unless they bring their prices back into a more reasonable range. As for KoW, I have a few of their undead minis and I have to say that I like them. They were easy to work with, customizable and look great. Have yet to play the game though, as all my time of late has been in playing D&D and feeding the crafting addiction.... Back on the 40k topic, I have been tempted to check out Dark Heresy. Looks like it would be fun....

Good job! I like the roof. When I first saw it, I wondered if you had used a Pringles can!

Looks like it would be fun.... I got involved with 40k in 1986 when it first came out. I play vanilla Space Marines, my own Chapter, The Banecorp. When I started, you could get 30 plastic beaky marines for $20. 3 Rhinos for $20. 2 Land Raiders for $20. No more. Good news is that I still have a lot of stuff. I've bought more, probably several hundred, but I'm less and less satisfied with the rules. Seems like your Codex determines whether or not you have a fighting chance. Too many fiddly rules. Not a lot of balance. I may give Mantic's ruleset a try. I know my group would be up for it.

Pringles cans are a wonderful resource for all sorts of uses. This is a really nice tower, I love the sandy texture.

Well, you guys have managed to tweak my compulsive disorder again! After looking at the free rules for "Kings of War", I think I'm going to pick up the two player battle set ($60 on Amazon). Not only do the rules look great, the starter set has tons of undead and orcs that will be great for D&D as well.
Oh, and love the tower, Brad!

Pringles cans are a wonderful resource for all sorts of uses. This is a really nice tower, I love the sandy texture. I collect those cans for months now, but I haven't crafted anything out of them so far. I simply don't need any towers or castles in my campaigns for the next times, and I don't have the luxury of storage space to create too much stuff I can't use in my games. What else have you done with pringle cans? Maybe I finally find something I can use in my games.
