I think the Luke looks fine. Don't be so hard on yourself. As for the Tiger Corp.. they are awesome.

Thank you lordbryon. More goodies to show off. Here's Bossk. and a shot of all four Trandoshans. Bossk is the last of the miniatures from the box set. Now I can move on to all the expansions. For instance, IG-88. I'm hoping to get some terrain made in the near future. I started making some sci-fi tiles based on the DMG method earlier, but they just didn't hold my interest the way dungeon tiles do. I think I'll make some full scenes more like the DMScotty ones when I get the chance.

Wow...those are gorgeous! I love them! I really hope you do take a stab at some terrain tiles. I would love to see what you come up with.

curufin, I've been working on tiles lately, but I think some Tattoine buildings will show up before the tiles are ready. lordbryon, I have to say I love the Imperial Assault miniatures. I'm not as overjoyed with the game. From the one game of Imperial Assault I played it looks like a fun game if I gave it a chance. I just don't get the chance to play games often enough to learn new games. Quick update. I finally finished my BanDai AT-ST model. BanDai is a Japanese model company mostly known for making Gundam kits. They got the rights to make Star Wars kits back in March. They currently have this 1/48th scale AT-ST, as well as a 1/48th Snowspeeder and X-Wing. They also have 1/72 scale X-Wings, Y-Wings and TIE Fighters. The 1/72nd scale stuff might work with the older WEG minis. The 1/48th scale is much better for larger modern figures such as Imperial Assault, Reaper and such. I have lots and lots of photos. Here we go... The base is a Games Workshop large flight base. There are pegs on this kit's ugly square base that attach to the feet of the AT-ST. I cut the foot areas out of the square base and glued them to the GW base. Then I layered putty around the foot pieces to level the ground, then added textured with GW Stirland Mud paint. Finished the base off with some light browns and it was done. The walker is still removable from the base if need be. I will say the base is vital, because the walker won't stand on it's own. Here's a shot of all my AT-ST miniatures. Sorry, no WOTC plastic to compare with. I never did get one. From left to right, a Fleet Action toy, the Imperial Assault miniature, the BanDai model and the old, old AMT model. Surprisingly, the BanDai and the AMT models are really close in size. The difference between the BanDai model and the Imperial Assault miniature was a major disappointment. I still plan to use the Imperial Assault walkers, but they might be a different class of scout walker. Let me know what you think.

If you're interested in getting one of the WotC walkers, the Endor christmas one still pops up off and on. Often still in the box

sotf, I wasn't in the market for another AT-ST until I realized I had so many. Now I'll be on the look out for one, but only if I can find it at a decent price. The Bandai kit is just too affordable right now. I got this one for around $21 on HobbyLinkJapan, including shipping. I've got another one on the way.
From experience, you should always pick up model kits that you really want before they go away. (If you can afford it, that is.) Unlike miniatures, production runs on model kits are getting shorter all the time. Since these are Star Wars I think this line will be around for a while, but I thought that about the Bandai Star Trek kits and they seemed to disappear almost overnight.
kgstanley81, thank you so much. I watched lots and lots of YouTube videos on paint chipping for models. I ended up going with a sponge technique where you lightly dot a small sponge onto the edges of the model, anywhere impacts would rub the surface layers off. This was after I'd dry-brushed different shades of grey and then weathered the hell out of the thing with GW inks. I was going to leave the chips black, to represent the undercoat. This would have been a more realistic approach to the chipping. Then I came across photos of the AT-ST studio model and it had silver marks all over it. I figure if it's good enough for ILM, it's good enough for me.

With the WotC ones, there are 6 different ones.
The Endor one came in a boxed set with a few stormtroopers and scout troopers, it's the most unique of them.
There's the normal AT-ST that came out early on, and a unique variant that's basically another pose. There's a Hoth one that was in one of the later series as well as the Battle of Hoth boxed set, and an upgunned one that, I believe, was in the Force Unleashed series.
The Endor one tends to be the cheapest because they made a TON of them, and at the time the huge minis were little more than display options for most people playing the game due to the available maps, and even the Endor maps included were difficult to use with it.
Side listing...here's one that's on auction with 3 days left for $8+$11.50 shipping (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-miniatures-2006-Limited-Edition-AT-ST-ATTACK-ON-ENDOR-Pack-Sealed-/252046110058?hash=item3aaf1e6d6a)
And the wookie hunter one for $23 (with shipping) (http://www.ebay.com/itm/WOTC-Star-Wars-Minis-Force-Unleashed-Wookiee-Hunter-AT-ST-NM-/361346138322?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5421e880d2)

Sweet AT-ST's, I'm surprised by the variance. I think I like the Bandai one the best. It just looks right with that storm trooper.
The imperial assault model is a bit small but I think that is because the game designers were taking some liberties with scale to have the game be playable.

sotf, I noticed that Noble Knight has an Endor AT-ST package right now that I may pick up. It'll have to be a couple weeks, as I'm supposed to be saving money for a comic book convention coming up. lordbryon, I still like the Imperial Assault one. I was just surprised at how much smaller it is. Update time. I'll start with everyone's favorite smuggler and his co-pilot. Chewy turned out pretty good, but I'm especially happy with Han. I've always had luck painting Han Solo. It helps that this is one of the best sculpts to come out of the Imperial Assault line. I started working on my Tattoine terrain. I've built the shells of my first two buildings. Just hot glued together foamcore with half a vending machine ball on top. Here are those same buildings with two coats of texture spray. I'm planning to cover these with spackle to give them a more authentic look. I'll be leaving patches where the texture spray can be seen through cracks. A similar look was used on many of the Mos Eisley pieces. Of course I plan to have 2.5D tiles that go underneath these, along with sci-fi doors using DM Scotty's method. Let me know what you think.

Howdy, Let me know what you think Blasters!Scruffy looking!? "We took a bongo from that scene, and went to Theed to see the Queen...We all wound up on Tatooine... That's where, we met, this boy." I have a bunch of Star Wars Bounty Hunter Micro Machines. I love the ships. Keep up the great work, Kev!

Liking the buildings, they really capture the "middle east in space" look of tatooine.

I haven't been here for awhile; SO I browsed my by way through the entire thread "liking" everything...I had to "re-like a few things I had "liked" before. I am impressed both by your SPLENDID brushwork AND your dedication to the project. VERY WELL DONE!

nvdberg, SpielMeisterKev!, skunkape, stroezie. If you can't tell, I'm still having a blast. Thank you for all the encouragement. Deafnala, I've been so focused on this Star Wars stuff that I haven't checked out much fantasy stuff lately. I'm so far behind. Update time. I'll start with the last of the Tiger Corps figures. Here's the shot of all ten Tiger Corps. This is my first completed group for Mars Attacks. Hoorah for multi-use miniatures. I've also finished an AT-PT. That's an All Terrain Personal Transport. I took a bunch of pictures of this guy. I was really lucky one day a few years ago. I found two of these figures at a stock clearance store. These are Star Wars Vehicle collectible magazine pieces from D'Agastini. (I probably spelled that wrong.) They were both broken, so I got them for a huge deal. Here's the one I re-painted next to the other one I haven't fixed or repainted yet. Most of the collectible magazine figures are painted pretty well. This one they didn't even do the hazard stripe on the shins. That's all for now. I should have something new early next week. Let me know what you think.

Thank you chiefsgtbradley. I know of the company. I just never remember how to spell their names. Have you seen their "Build the Millennium Falcon" magazines yet? Way too pricey for me, but oh the possibilities...
I should have an update soon. Real soon. In fact, just as soon as Photobucket decides to let me see my photos.
