I read your project log and frustrations! I feel you there brother. Green stuff can be frustrating to work with! Patience is your friend! You said it took you roughly 45 minutes to work my man above us - it took me a week. You build one small part and then wait for it to dry and harden, then fashion the next. Green stuff you cannot rush! For example, I worked my face, let it dry, then worked on single leg, let it dry, etc. Good news, you can sand finger prints off (been there, done that!) and use your handy xacto knife to sculpt the dry stuff by whittling pieces of and sanding. I see an old venerable elder myconoid in myconoid number one! ...oops. I would have never thought of waiting for each piece to harden. Mind you, I don't have a problem with that because nothing rushes me, it just didn't occur to me. I might try that long way, but only if I ever make a large group of these guys - which is very probable because my underdark campaign features a living fungus realm similar to FR's Araumycos (I borrowed Hraak Azul from WotC’s 4E book 'Underdark'). But before that I'll probably try airdry clay, just to see how it works for mykonid... I also play with the idea of giving (i.e. glueing) M1 a crude weapon in one hand. I have several bags of warhammer bits, maybe there's something that fits the bill.

O.o;; Paint it brown and it could totally work as a goomba. (DC 25 jump check to kill)
But seriously good looking stuff

Do one myconoid, and move to the next. It works better if you do several at a time.

I was going to enter this puppy into the mini war but did not finish it in time. I have five more in various stages of production, my goal is to have six of them. Hope you enjoyed my crafting! this would qualify for the april theme: 'antrapamorphism'; inanimate objects come to life.

Valas where did you pick up these mushrooms on a stick? I have been looking around and have not been able to find them in the stores I go too. Can you point me in the right direction please

Crap, that's all I've been doing for weeks now. Which contest?

Cool.
And bringing myself back on subject, the Myconoids look terrific. Inspiring as hell.
