I've been running both a fantasy game and weird west game and have found that I can mix builds from both mostly without any limitations.

That link was pretty damn helpful. Also, you list White PVA glue twice (just a FYI) Naw, DMG just likes his PVA glue!

Greetings welcome to the fun!
For sand I just grab some of the play sand I use for my snake that I get from Toys R Us. Craft paints, Walmart has a nice selection of them that are not too expensive. As far as glitter, I've had to order the round kind online as I could never find it even in Michaels in my area. For gemstones, I just picked up a bunch of different kinds of beads.

I have a bunch of the old school gridded tiles. Most of them still in the boxes. I really need to see what I have, though I'm not to interested in using them really as I prefer gridless myself!

I saw a documentary on the Hamburg display and it's something I want to go see if I am ever able! The documentary talked a lot about what the did building it, including the system that handles the vehicle movement. The have a bunch of recharge stations set up so that the moving cars and trucks can go recharge themselves!

Hello and welcome! Main piece of advice I would give is make sure you and your players are having fun! Find a style that you like and that they'll enjoy as well and stick to it! By style I mean, do you like straight dungeon crawls, or a mix of role-playing and roll-playing (combat), or story telling? Do you want political intrigue? Can the player characters change the world, or are they just a small cog in the much bigger machine?
I have found that once I had figured out those things, I enjoyed running the game as much as I enjoyed playing.
