Heroforge has a few options for detail and material, this is our group's thief ordered in "Low Detail" option. $15.... As you can see it looks to be made from carved sugar cubes. I hit him with a toothbrush and that did knock off a lot of the little nuggets of plastic that clearly were not a detail. I'll have to paint in detail for most things like face, leggings, rapier hilt and the flagstones on the base.... here we go!!!!! Used dark brown Apple barrel brand paint, and a black ink glaze from Armypainter. The mini drank the paint, the ink when applied to the base soaked in evenly, no definition. Porous AF!! You should hit it with a sealer before applying paint to avoid the soaking in issue. Basic colors, slopped on lighter brown for boots and original brown on other leather, etc. I used dark blue to highlight the hair. Shading is next! The back. This is the point where I pout on a matte varnish over all to seal it from soaking in anything else. The existing paint layers helped, but the varnish was noticeably better. I used a mix of Reichland flesh shade for the flesh and gold. Black ink, brown ink and army painter deep shader for everything else. Touching up the gray base, a lot of gray highlights and deep shader glazes and brown ink for the space between. Highlights!!! Mixed white with the base colors , building up highlights. Went with slight gray to his hear after the black ink over blue I did earlier. Olive green, glazed with brown ink and highlighted slightly with the original olive green. There he is, finished!! Better light to show details. I had a time painting smooth highlights over the grainy surface. Another angle. The grain structure is strong, but hopefully with the paint job and the fact he won't often be seen closer than 1-2 feet away! Put matte clear varnish over the whole guy, and gloss over the chain shirt and sword... even glosses the beer bottles! Hope you enjoyed and learned a little about the heroforge types of plastic. Check out my other posts for the ultra detail plastic painting report for our Ranger. Thank you for your time!

This is a article on my 2017 submission for the paintjob show off, please enjoy Dagnir 5th lvl elf ranger Custom mini from heroforge.com one of our players ordered. It's a cool site where you can configure any type of mini, anyway check it out! There's all sorts of accounts on painting experiences with these prints, I hope I can help out those who ever wondered. He ordered ultra detail plastic, it looks great but it does have print lines throughout. More noticeable on flat areas, feet and edges. It's subtle, but if you use washes and shades, keep it in mind. Primed it black and hot it with Folkart brand green. The finer print lines were smoothed out with the primer and base coats, but they remained prominent on edges and boots. Base colors before shading Homemade black shade/dip... just thin black down and put a brush full of dishwasher liquid soap in. . Notice the boots... I hope the pic shows you proper detail... you can see the print lines grain thanks to the shade. Almost like wood, I think it's clever idea to camo your ranger boots. Thanks 3D printers! Touch up on base colors. I mixed up some brown and grey into the green for the cape for a change in palette. GW retribution gold and Reichland fleshshade glazed all over. Highlighted the cloak with previous mix and progressively more green. After a highlight in the original "Old Ivy Green", silver/gold mix highlights, etc. he's pretty much done! Thanks for your time!

140 degrees F according to a quick google, but its probably similar to the signet sealing wax. This wax is different from candlewax, as they add in minerals and dyes.
I have a kit with a few single letter signet stamps, the wax stays hot and I believe the metal nature of the stamp helps as a heat sink to cool it more rapidly.
Try out a 3d print plastic cut-off on the wax you intend to use just to see if it deforms.
Green Stuff may work, I dont think temperature per se is the issue; I think its more porous than metal, and it may stick and damage the seal when removing it when its cool. Alternatively brush on a little vaseline before the stamp, it will help it come right off.
I'd go with the charm idea, it looks fairly Egyptian, so you might have some luck in finding an approximation.
Good luck!!

You'll thank yourself for adding pva mix on it.
Dont worry about waxxy finish, try it out on a test peice and see how you like it compared to the board.

Good point, he left an overhang on the skirt for just that at a later date, probably sooner than later.
You probably already considered a brace board in the middle under the mdf surface.
Seal with a varnish for sure

35 Frost Giants?!?!
Youre super busy, what you need is a potion of Speed, or construct a golem to paint those for you!
