Still adding armor plates, but I base coated it and started painting.

I've had no luck with the Dollar Tree lately. I went to 3 Dollar Stores today and couldn't find covered wagons or Dragons.

Took a quick size comparison shot of my Gorkanaut alongside my Stompas.

This week I scratch built a Gorkanaut. I'm pretty pleased with myself so far, since I've gotten this far in under a week. There are more W.I.P. Shots hereI've never layed my eyes on an actual Gorkanaut model, and didn't pay much attention to scale while building it. Just went full Ork and just added bits until it looked right. Still need to add some heavy Shootas and Skorcha to it.

Yeah, I've had players that just don't grasp what is socially acceptable behavior when playing a cooperative game, and the atmosphere dramatically gets better when they finally quit.
Glad it worked out for you in the end. =)

Good call on the Neverending Story Snail. I knew it looked familiar.

I have that Roper miniature !! Now just remember that Ropers are supposed to pass for Stalagmites, and marvel at how badly that slug thing with tentacles is sculpted

That actually sounds pretty epic. At one point I was condsidering sculpting and casting Slaanesh Rhinos (armored transports) with a vaginal opening in the front and butt cheeks on the back end. Kind of lost any entusiasm for it when I realised that no local gaming shop would approve, DakkaDakka would ban me for posting pics of it, and I'm more of a Tzeentch man, than a Slaanesh fan in general, and wouldn't really have a use for them. I found a pic of the one I was talking about. Not the original source, but I kept a copy on my hard drive.

Someone brought this up on the Facebook group a couple months back. Evidently you can even use Salt.
Going to have to try this myself.

Let me know if you figure it out. I have a friend that collects and sells toys professionally.

I keep playing with the idea of sculpting, molding and casting a whole bunch of NPC minis and selling them cheap. Not metal or resin, just something like Hydrostone, that is cheap, but these aren't minis that will be played regularly, and if you can sell them for a buck apiece and make enough to justify it, it might be a way to start a miniature line. Hydrostone and 28-32mm miniatures do not mix well. You might be able to make bigger, chunky, monsters, but 28mm human civilians would be too fragile if scaled properly. Tried it myself, years ago, with 40K Space Marines. Mixing it thin, so it flows into the mold details, makes it to weak. Mixing it thicker, for strength, and it doesn't flow into the mold. Sandwiching the mold, so it doesn't have to flow, leaves horrendous mold lines. Anything that looks alright will still lose a limb, or head, with regular use, and swords will only last minutes. The best you could hope for are chunky figures, like the Christmas/Halloween Village figures.

Troll and Toad used to have Heroclix down to .15 each, but every time they drop that low people start buying them in bulk.
One time they were down to .10 each and I bought 800 figures.

Need a good affordable source for "Silicone I" caulk. I paid $5.35 for 10 oz at Home Depot and that seems high to me. It's going to be fairly expensive if I make a lot of molds heh. Wouldn't mind half that price -- would buy in bulk. I have 2 tubes sitting here waiting to be turned into molds. Pretty sure they were around $3 at Walmart.

I've seen a Barbie based Soulgrinder and even started builing one for myself, but it's huge. Barbie dolls, even without the legs are way bigger than most things in 40K.
A Manga Spawn Violater action figure has revently made it into my collection. That thing is practically a Nurgle Soul grinder right out of the package.
