Hey Everyone, sorry it's been awhile since my last post...tryin to keep up recently has been quite challenging, lol
(ie...the rigors of life that is)
So, my friend in Michigan needed a follow up piece to the temple of Blibbdroolploop that I built for him
here: link
Apparently after entering the temple and uttering some words the idol teleports the party here, planet Guldor. This is the last Dwarven fortress left on this planet, currently under siege by Lolth the demonwebb queen(in his world)
Soooooo, with a bunch of styro, my Hot wire tools, I set out to build him the best castle fortress I could muster, here is how it's going

So that's where she is at currently, still have a lot of building left to do. This project has been one learning experience after another. As you can tell from the chronological order of the pictures...if anyone has any questions about what I did or how I did it, please feel free to ask

That is a STUNNING creation; WONDERFULLY complex & FANTASTICALLY detailed. You have a Masterpiece in the works. Even as at this stage it is VERY WELL DONE!

SUPER BIG THANKS EVEYONE Tauster, you have always commented on my builds, for that a special big thanks to you sir
Deafnala, receiving such a wonderful comment from someone of your awesome talent is very inspiring to me, thank you VERY much.
Sgtslag, I hope it gets table time too with all the hard work and geometric calculations I have had to do to keep it looking like the original drawing, one thing I learned is that 2D drawings don't always equate into 3D builds
Neyjour, thank you very much for taking a moment and posting a comment, it is greatly appreciated
I still have have to complete the fascia, and the third floor...then I must complete the moon like surface of the mountain.
To date this is the most complex build, that I have ever undertook, I'm hoping it will turn out as nice as I envision it in my mind...
I will be posting a video upon its completion to my youtube channel, and I promise it will be better than my past videos thx to the new software I have to work with...
Picture updates will be forth coming to this location soon !!

I did something similar, only m-u-c-h simpler... I took a 2D drawing of a Hobgoblin guard tower, built atop a cut-off tree, and made around a dozen 3D models based on the drawing. I left off the roofs, however, as they would be too much hassle in use, trying to insert mini's beneath them. It was quite fun, and compared to your project, ultra s-i-m-p-l-e. Cheers!
