You're a natural. That is BEAUTIFUL; it will enhance any miniatures that are displayed on it. Keep up the OUTSTANDING WORK!

Ever thought of selling your work? If you made a set large enough to cover a tabletop, you might sell it on e-Bay, or TMP, or... Your work is that good. Cheers!

deafnala Thanks! That means a lot! sgtslag If I know how to make that ebay thing work, I may actually consider it. The display cost me less than $4 to make, took me only about 4-5 hours to make (excluding dry time for various layers), and was actually a lot of fun to make. While I could only make so many for my brother or myself before I ran out of ideas, it would be cool to have a bigger motivation to keep making them. Though I'd have no idea of how much to actually price something like that. $10? DnDPaladin So it was a concern of mine as well, so I took the size into consideration. My idea going in was to create a smallish display board to allow for enough room on a shelf for more of its size. Then I could provide several different scenes for use of displaying miniatures without taking up too much space. NamenDDR Thank you! I'm actually almost done (maybe another day), however, I felt this next board needed a specific theme of monsters in it. Monsters I didn't already have miniatures for. So I'm remedying it! Pictures will come before the end of this week!

Wow those are cool. IMO, you could keep doing this and post pics and I'd be fine with looking at these. I love that one rat sans tail. Battle scar! Also, those are some nice minis. And another thing, if it's not too much to ask. Can I be your brother, too?

I'd love some suggestions and ideas!

awesome builds. Think i'll build one for my Dragon Minis. which are in my collection stand when not in use at the gaming store.
as for ideas... tons of stuff really... just think of the planes and you are done...
Plane of water (aka bottom of the sea.) plane of Air (aka clouds and stuff flying in it) Plane of Fire (hell like settings fire everywhere) Plane of Earth (giant rocks everywhere floating if need be) Shadowfell (darkness grey stuff along with castles would be good) Feywild (big lush forest, with tons of different colored plants) Positive and Negative Planes (tons of magnets with + and minus signs on it. kidding XD )
just the planes of existence gives tons of ideas.

You could go with a sylvan landscape, near a pool. Or perhaps some type of forest, maybe jungle type terrain. For buildings, your broken archways are always a good winner among the gamer crowd and there is always the evil temple. You could also create cityscapes like a marketplace and the underground dungeon never gets old.

ROUS's!!! (Rodents Of Unusual Size) Love them! Now you need the Dread Pirate Roberts and Princess Buttercup, to finish it... Or you could add a few elements to make a scene from the Fire Swamp: quicksand and flame jets... Cheers!

Thanks for the great suggestions guys! Keep em coming! curufin As for the sludge, it's just hot glue placed with a low temp glue gun. When I based the whole thing in black, I avoided basing the runoff from the small pipe on the bottom left of the sewer, then just used a green wash over it.

Amazing work! That's a great way to show off minis, instead of letting them rot inside plastic crates. Your attention to detail is fantastic, everywhere I look there's a different smudge or mark telling its own tale.
What are those little rubble piles? Body parts?

There is a lot going on in the sewer board. It's hard to tell, but there are discarded papers scattered about as well as very small piles of gold coin. As for the 'rubble piles', I assume you're referring to the rat swarm miniatures (3 total in the picture)? I unfortunately take photos with a potato I call a phone camera :S.
