This set goes a little against DMScotty's 2.5D method, but I wanted to go this route because of it's ability to make it multiple floors tall. None of the pictures below show that effect, as I'm not done building everything, but I had to get this far for my session tomorrow. Thanks for looking. Let me know what you think, or if you have any ideas or questions. P.S. Just to be clear, this set is far more versatile than just perfectly square buildings. I just didn't have time to make more than one floor piece, so I opted to go for a square one to start out with. Happy crafting. P.P.S Forgive some of the shoddy paint work. I was in a hurry.

Its more of a 2.85d but still looks great. Can you take some pics of the walls out?

It stores very small. All easily in a 1'X6"X2" Tupperware container.

I actually thought the paint work looked great! Love this. As for modular, to me a quick setup for buildings like this is absolutely the most practical I've seen yet. Nice work Nate!

It does go up pretty quick. Again, longer than DMScotty's method, as his can go up immediately. That being said, I can DM off the cuff and improve entire scenarios if I have enough modular pieces. I like that flexibility.

I think its brilliant. Are the outer walls removable too?

Yes, they are also removable. They all work the same way. I have 12", 6", and 4" walls. They all fit into the corner sections. I have little end caps to fit over the parts that fit into the corner sections for when I want a doorway.

Awesome stuff, as per usual, DM Nate. I'm really interested in seeing how it fits vertically.

Aweaome Nate, I love the modularity, and I am also of the mind that 3d is not all bad. There are times it can get in the way but other times it can be just plain awesome!...

Dude, I dig your stuff. I'd play in your game any day (unless it's 3E or newer =P Kidding, kidding...)
Seriously though, you craft top-notch stuff. Thanks for posting it all!

Thanks, friends. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: this community is more supportive and welcoming than any other that I've been a part of. It's very nice to have a place that fosters my creative side. We all need a creative outlet.
This place is a great source of inspiration. I love seeing what everyone is making.

LOVE your wood work! There is an old painters trick that works big and small, tape ( if it wont wreak your surface) I build in foam so its hard not to blemish the surface. Another trick is a 3" by 5" note card. Just lay it down on your good edge and paint. Wipe it after each use though as it can want to run under and then its not helping its hurting at that point. Again I wish my wood looked like yours:)!!!
