One of the first things I wanted to build after discovering DM Scotty's channel was the tealight braziers( it is such a cool idea!) so I started building one thinking I would build 4 or 5 to scatter around the rooms of my dungeon Alas,as I game in 15mm,it was way to big for a brazier and I put it aside and considered it a good practice piece and left it aside. Then I came accros dmjonny's nov2013 Stone Of Souls craftwar entry and I thought "wait a minute, I could do something similar and make it the central focus of the build." Thank you dmjonny!!! So here it is The stone paving was cut out of 2 styrofoam trays for packing meat and embossed with the ferulle of an old paintbrush which had the hairs removed and was bent into shape with a pair of pliers. The whole thing was based on an old CD and the bonfire can be taken out to swich it on and off. I am actually thinking of making some more inserts like a well or maybe a gate to get the maximum use out of it. Here you can see it in action for a game of CROM ( www.matakishi.com/crom.htm ) Hmm, seeing these pics I'm thinking I'll have to dirty it up a bit, it looks way to clean compared to the rest of the village.

Very nice job, all around. I agree that you could dirty things up a bit, but it's a solid job regardless. How did you make the thatch roofs?

@ adamantinedragon
The huts are solid foam carvings. I just cut them into the rough shape, sanded them down and then drew in the details with a ballpoint pen. It was actually a lot easier then I thought, you just have to take it easy and remember to always drag the tip, never push or you will rip chunks out of the foam. Hope that makes sense.

That is an awesome way to frame one. I hadn't thought of using one as a "centerpiece" like that. Well done, and great job on the stonework around it!
