So I'm in mini assembly mode, and I want to know if goop glue is good for assembling metal miniatures. Superglue has always been so-so for me in the past and I want to find something that is a good alternative. Am I stuck with superglue, or are there some options?

Metal models I usually pin using super glue and small amounts of greenstuff.

Goop is awesome, use it all the time on metal minis...better than super glue in my opinion. small parts can be tricky though as the glue is very viscous.

I actually got the idea that goop could be used for mini assembly from one of your vids, but you mention it only for rebasing. I figure it could be used for metal minis too. For small parts, I'd guess a toothpick could be used to apply the necessary amount. Also pinning could help too. The only problem I foresee is the slight difference in volume (much how hotglue adds volume more than white glue)

I use it for basing as well.... gonna give it a shot on metal minis then as well now, thanks to the recommendation...

I have tried it on metal minis and it works nicely! The toothpick application method seems to be the easiest for some of the more "fiddly" parts.

So Ironically, my "may require assembly" Mantic Games zombie horde came in the mail before my Not-Shipped-Overseas Reaper minis. Granted, I did order the zombies before the reaper minis, but not by alot.
Anyway, that being the case, I now have an unassembled Zombie horde, moaning in their undead fashion to be completed (Sounds like "Nuhhaaalm! Bwalahhhnd. Hngrrrahl"). But I have no glue for the particular type of plastic they're made of.
SO...Does Goop function here as well? Inquiring mindless undead want to know. Or they would be inquiring if they had...

I would use model glue on the plastic minis.

I would use model glue on the plastic minis. I dont know about the rest of you fellas but everytime I smell model glue it seems to bring me right back to making model airplanes in my bedroom at my parents house.

I used goop on my plastic warhammer minis. Worked just fine, no melting or anything.

Thanks for the info dmbrad. I have never used it on plastics.
