Two giant spiked balls. I was going for a hammered, welded look of battered metal plates and spikes, as if constructed by orc or goblinoid types. Random, rugged and nasty. They are made from 2" foam balls. First I tore up little pieces of crumpled paper bag and hot-glued them over the entire ball. That makes a skin of dented over-lapping plates. Then added cut bits of heavy paper, as if the orcish smithies just grabbed whatever scraps were at hand (sound familiar crafters?!). Finally clipped and sharped BBQ skewer bits were rammed in and glued to make the spikes. As in DM Scotty's boulder vid the balls are glued to a washer so they don't roll all over the place.

For the paint job I made one more bronzey and the other more steely. Just a lot of drybrushing and some brownish wash. With different colored balls I can keep track of which ball is squishing which character.

Dim door escape?, a quick rusting grasp?..... or PC-jelly!?!

Awesome. This might just be one of my next projects. It's going to the to-do list and taking one of the upper ranks!

Now you did it - I have a picture in my mind of all of us crafters as orcs...

If someone tells you that you have enough craft suplies and you don't need anymore, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
