I am actually pretty excited about this. Storage would be alot easier if the pieces were more uniform. Cant wait to see your method, I might have to try this.

Amazing! I love the walls extending out a bit. It really adds to the set, and the atmosphere. Aside from the edges of the cardboard, I would have believed they were the latest competitor of Dwarven Forge -- and I would feel sorry for him, as his days would be numbered... Incredible. Just, incredible. Looking forward to the video.
I still cannot get over how crafters, not professional artists (speaking of myself, here), can achieve such fantastic results, using 'garbage', and simple techniques. This site still astounds me, nearly every day. Cheers!

Awesome!
I really dig the water tile, and can't wait to see the build video for it!
Also, I laughed a bit when you were talking about different designs for passages and said that one could make a "zed" pattern. This popped right into my head:

Don't know IF I'm being too ambitious here, but this is what I drew out in prep for learning TheDMG's method...

"Too ambitious," DM Misha? Perish the thought! Damn the torpedoes -- full steam ahead, say I! Really, you have done perhaps one of the most difficult parts -- the planning. With that carefully completed, you can focus on the crafting portion, without distractions, without wondering, "Will it fit?" Your cavern modules look great on paper, and that genuinely is one of the more difficult parts of the project. Really looking forward to your progress on this concept. Cheers!

Good looking tiles DMG. But, I'm leaning toward the hex layout the more I think about doing cave systems!

Wish I could competently cut strait lines I'd be all over doing sets instead of one offs, but mine always end up mismatched and off kilter

Good looking tiles DMG. But, I'm leaning toward the hex layout the more I think about doing cave systems! They're wicked cool, but I'm lazy, and personally lean towards the Fat Dragon games cavern tiles I have, hahaha. I have some mounted to foam board: Sometimes I just print 'em off: Seriously though, I can't wait for your build video, DMG (BTW, you have the same name as a dude in a group I really dig who's coincidentally from Oz - Pendulum. Common name there?). As much as I love the easy aspect of the printable 2D tiles, I much more love the idea of using 2.5D tiles with complete regularity now that I've gotten into 'em. If it ends up being easy, it looks like I'll have a nice load of crafting ahead of me.

Odinist, check out my floor tile mounting system for FDG, and other items: Floor_Tile_Projects_Link (#4 & #6, on the list of projects). It's cheaper, and thinner, than foamcore; it's also easier to cut, mount, etc. Cheers!

Aluminum foil, damn could have had less warping. My tp papermache caves look good but there was do much moisture involve once they completely dried i ended up with warping issues.

I guessed papermache (withe glue and toilet paper), too. Isnt Aluminium foil hard to glue, especially with the slow drying time of withe glue? Hadnt worked with the foil before.
