A room trap to share with yall. The players will probably fall into it from a trap door above. Two pieces of foam core glued to bases (like many of the dungeon door designs here on the forum) so they don't fall over and rammed full of pre-cut BBQ skewer bits. I roughly cut each skewer (like when sharpening a pencil with a pocketknife) to give the spikes a bit more character. The planes thus created also make the silver dry-brushing of the spikes more effective. Painted to match my tiles and ready to crush players. Just slide the walls closer to simulate the crushing! The droods might consider an avian wild-shape and hopefully the barb has a lot of HP left after the fall..... Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Really cool. I've been meaning to make one of these myself. One suggestion to make, in order to improve storage capability (during those rare moments when you're not killing PC's with it) is to make each side alternate in the pattern for the skewers, and put holes in between each skewer so the other sides "spikes" can fit into the holes. That way, when pulled together, the two pieces are flush against each other.
Because I have aichmophobia (fear of sharp pointed things), this is something I'd have to do to keep the pieces from bothering me each time I opened the bin to grab a piece. The mobile palisade and wall spear traps I made via scotty's tutorials already make me pretty uncomfortable

Excellent! I was just commenting to one my players, who has just started DMing again, that I need to start using, and making, traps more often...
