The spider lair for my son's game tonight. We have one of this friends and dad joining the game. Had to make something for the occasion. Kind of an overbuild for a very minor encounter meant to teach the game to his friend. The webbed up guy and the shield are a carved up Pirate and Skeletons figure. It was the delicious Poet stout from New Holland that made me decide to make this as a tile for some reason. I'll have to cut it off and mount it on a base after tonight's game. Attachment Deleted

That spider looks dangerous! Great job on the webbing, the shield is a lovely touch of detail.

That spider looks dangerous! Great job on the webbing, the shield is a lovely touch of detail. Thanks. The shield was an actual treasure item as well. A nice shield of bashing for our paladin.

How old are your son and his friend? I hope they had a blast playing! They are 7 and 9 and having a great time. They are dragonborn brothers One fighter and one paladin. They get bonuses for fighting shoulder to shoulder and always delay initiative so they can work together. Its super cool.

I can see Frodo, face turned green, lurking beneath She-Lob's webbing. He'll make a tasty meal soon enough. Fantastic work on creating the webbed body, suspended. I agree with you, this is a diorama piece, too neat to destroy after the game. The shield really is a nice touch, which really adds to the scene. It creeps me out, just like she did, in the movie. I hate to imagine facing a spider of that size... Cheers!
