My miniature army is growing rapidly and organizing them is getting harder and harder. So here is my new storage solution. Get a cheap plastic storage drawer set with short (vertically) drawers. And some of this magnetic tape. Use hot glue to stick the magnetic tape to the drawer bottoms. The adhesive backing to the tape will not stick to the plastic very well. Glue one inch washers to the bottoms of your minis and Voila! Each of these 3 drawers will hold 77 one inch based minis. The magnets are strong enough to keep the minis from moving around but they still pull off easily. The tape costs about $3 at the craft store after using a 40% off coupon. The washers are inexpensive as well. I found the plastic drawer sets at a yard sale last year for $2 a piece. Thanks for looking!

And from the Office of Found Objects I will mentione that these Sterilite (and other containers of this type) are very commonly thrown out to the curb due to how cheap they are to buy. I have loads of these in my crafting area and I didn't purchase one of them. So keep your eyes open (especially around the end of semesters if you live near a college. Students love these things but don't bother taking them home.)

I love these type of containers for storing my craft stuff. This is a great idea for storing minis!

Thought I had commented on here before, but thanks for the idea. This is how I'm storing mine now also, though I used a different container because my large creatures wouldn't fit in the drawer thing I had. Saved me money and/or headaches, so thanks again.
