Been working on some gifts for more players.....they were inspired by miltonmurphy's Rise of the Rumelord Tchotchkes...Thanks for the inspiration.... I have 3 of the eight finished at the moment, so I will post pics of those....6 are for the players in my "Underdark" campaign and representative of the various houses and merc guilds they belong to... The other two are for two other players that I have the pleasure of gaming with on occassion....my son's best friend, who plays a paladin named Lancelot...and my brother, who in our pathfinder games plays a dwarf named Franken Fhurtor.... Insignia for Bregan D'aerthe... Insignia for House Melarn.... Insignia for House Xorlarrin....

I think those are the names of the houses as they appear in the text. Been a while but they sure sound good.

I think those are the names of the houses as they appear in the text. Been a while but they sure sound good. Aye, those are the names of a couple of the noble houses (Xorlarrin and Melarn) and a mercenary guild (Bregan D'aerthe) in Menzoberranzan, a drow city in the Underdark in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting... Their are many more houses such as Baenre, Barrison Del'armgo, Fey Branche, Faen Tlabbar and many, many more besides those, all playing a part in the political and societal intrigues of the city... Think of each house as being one family in a large mafioso type organization, whereon the houses/families are ranked according to power and influence, with each house fearing and working against each other in an effort to reach the top position, and rather than being ruled over by "dons" and "godfathers" the are ruled over by priestesses of Lolth, the Demon Queen of Spiders, and called "Matron Mothers". Each house has their own insignia that is displayed on their members to identify them to each other and to other houses. The house nobles also wear insignia brooches emblazoned with the symbols and imbued with magics...

There pretty cool dude, How Big are they ? Assuming that's a standard 1 inch grid cutting surface under it, they look to be about 5 inches wide by 5 inches deep by (about) 2 or 2.5 inches high. I'll say it again. Awesome. :-) Now I think I'm going to do a couple based on this design for some GMs I know who are running other adventure paths around here.
