A short while ago, I posted a picture of a 3D house I was making for my daughter as an example of one of the quick and easy roof shingle techniques. I've recently completed it so thought I would post the finished pictures here. I originally started the project to practice the 3D/2.5D building technique then decided to make it something my daughter could play with so I also crafted a few items to go inside the building. A wide shot of the house itself. Attachment DeletedA tight shot of the window flower boxes. I'll be making forest terrain with the rest of the fake flowers. Attachment DeletedThe reveal. Some close ups of the individual pieces. I was particularly happy with the fire in the fireplace. The rocks and wood are free from Mother Nature. Attachment DeletedI added some flower details which I copied on the table and chairs in the next picture. Attachment DeletedNote that the wonky scale of items to building is simply because I sized the bed and table/chairs for some of her small dolls. Attachment Deleted

Finally a stove. They left them on. Don't they know that's a fire hazard!?! Attachment Deleted

Your daughter is going to love it. I would enjoy seeing you lay this out for some PCs as they stare strangely at you...lol

You've set the bar exceedingly high. Be prepared for a series of, "Daddy, please can you make it?!?!?!" Beautiful work. Your daughter is very blessed -- she will remember this stuff long into her adulthood, and her own motherhood. Cheers!

Of course we all know when your daughter goes to sleep and the gaming crew comes over that is going to be the home of the olé Halfling apothecary shop on the edge of town. Strangely missing for a fortnight. Probably nothing to do with the strange howling in the forest the mutilated lumberjacks.
