Here are some quick shots of a first draft of my modular cavern. The basic idea works very well and allows for nearly any shape of cavern one would like. I'm going to remake the pieces, add a few new pieces, and spend more time on painting and flocking, but I'm pretty happy with how the proof of concept turned out. I even used this set for play yesterday. Each ledge represents a 5 foot climb. Suggestions and comments are welcomed.

Really cool. I am very interested in seeing modular dungeon designs to see how I can improve my own crafting. great job, and please post more pics as you make more!

Crafting is crafting is carfting is cartfing. Whether you wish to make modular sets or not, we all have things to learn from each other.  Thanks for the support onethatwas. I'll post pictures as soon as I get something put together (but don't hold your breath, as the holidays are busy). |

Looks really good. I think the extra layers of wall add a lot of interest to the tiles!

Very clever indeed..... using modular walls for portions instead of wholly modular sections is pretty ingenius!!

Quick update on the modular cavern. It's coming along very nicely, and I'm about ready to texture and paint. Lemme know what you think. I'm hoping to have enough time in the next week or so to get it finished, but we'll see. The next update will be the full reveal. |
