Upon reaching Vallaki we used printed maps from the adventure with no 3D terrain. I didn’t get any pictures of them however, I did anticipate a fight in the town square and built a map for that. The party was trying to rescue a party member from being locked up in the stockades when they were ambushed by the town’s militia and Izek the enforcer.

I absolutely love the paper terrain aesthetic. Wow... Where are those trees from?
[edit 1] sorry in advance for the any hijacking; I'll keep it short.
I just did a quick search for fold-up trees that didn't bring anything useful, but it just occurred to me that thin strips of styrofoam, cut with the thermocut (stuck together in the middle to form a cross/'X' similar to the ones in the OP's pictures) might make great trees. A quick paint bob Ross-like paint job to get some color on them and you're done.
I won't have time for that in the next days, but has anybody else done trees that way before?

vwilliams32407 , very impressive work!!! I, too, am a paper building fan, though I switched to using 3mm cardboard, with full-sheet label printouts, over a year ago. I apply the label paper, then cut out the cardboard. I did find it necessary to glue in square dowels, to prevent warping over time, but it's not very difficult, nor expensive. Are you printing on 110# cardstock, or something heavier? My 110# cardstock creations would not stand up to moderate use on the tabletop, so I had to find something more durable. I have that river... I love it! I printed mine on 20# paper, then I applied those to peel-n-stick vinyl floor tile pieces. That prevents them from flying when a breeze hits them! The vinyl tends to curve, in storage, but I just flex them back into shape, and put them down on the tabletop. Works superbly. tauster , I use cake decorating trees, mostly. The paper trees with shelves in the foliage for mini's to stand on, are very tempting, though. Cheers!

I cobbled a foam prototype together but without those shelves. I don't think I could paint them so well that they blend in the vertical prints, but I will probably try to see if I can come up with something. Thanks again for the inspiration, all!

Love the idea of printing the module interiors to fit your windmill!

I found it papermau.blogspot.com/2016/01/medieval-bridge-some-pines-and-froggys.htmlbut the deviant art account is gone. So the link is also dead. You are one of the few people who have it now, could you upload it for us? *edit* Its okay now, I managed to find a low res version off of pintrest and used an a A.I image enhancer to upscale it. very useful trick imgur.com/a/l13OWsM

Thanks for sharing - the trees look great! Always happy to see new alternatives. Although for me, I think it might be faster to make trees from skewers and green scrub pads... Still, all paper props instead of a mix of paper props and stuff props is probably visually more comfortable for a lot of people.

Fat Dragon Games has something similar, but not the large, multi-unit plateau. If the OP got his trees from the Cardboard Warriors forum, it's likely that the ground terrain also came from there - either a freely-offered post or one of the Kickstarters. Could take forever to search that forum for posts that are at least 4 years old and very likely older... Hope that someone who has that terrain will see your question and provide a more focused answer.
Update: the windmill and the bridge are from Fat Dragon games, so the hills quite probably are too, although I didn't see anything exactly like what the OP used.
