Hi everyone, i decided start my very first time playing wargames with Mordheim! i discovered it a few months ago and after having read the manual i decided to create a campaign...i am going to do something similar to my heroquest handmade, i mean, paper minis, change a little the rules...but is going to be mordheim! i will post stuff often about this project, any sugestion is mostly welcome! cheers! for further info you can check factoriatabletop.wordpress.com/is on spannish but there is an option to translate ( down below)  |

Thanks erho! i really think so, i mean, mordheim is an amazing wargame...it has everything i was looking for I am going to create a campaign using an Estalian warband...everything in stop motion puffffff  Best regards, cant wait to my next day off to start with it!! |

Its on the cartoon style but thats your style, and its well done!
I'm sure Pablo Picasso was told his stuff didnt look realistic once or twice!

well... many people use the word upgrade to heroquest... but reality is...
many a game who tries to be an upgrade only makes the game longer to set up and longer to play. heroquest is easy to play and set up. everybody talked about descent back then, and yet mine barely see play because abilities are too hard to grasp, board is long to set up. so after playing a while i dont think anything can actually replace heroquest. the game is pure genius and easy to grasp. heck its even easy to develop for it.
that said i never saw mordheim, so i will love to see what you design for it.

I am totally agree about what you said! To me, a non experience gamer, i feel a simple game fits better with me... i also never played Mordheim, but i read the manual and i liked so much the background....i will try to make a " simpler Mordheim" maybe changing some rules or smthing like that  ( maybe even trying the simplicity of heroquest but in this background) today is my day off, after spend some time with my children i will upload something...i am really so motivated with this project! thanks paladin for stop by and comment kinds regards from Japan!  |

Mordheim keys off of what at the time of release was the most missed mechanic from old GW games; Independent models within squads or units.
Mordheim was not made as a fix to HQ, rather a medium scale skirmish game like Rogue Trader, but WHFB setting.
I liked it a lot, but havnt played in 10+ years.

Yep, i was making my homework...so after reading a couple of things i understood that Mordheim is like the short version of warhammer fantasy like necromunda is the short version of warhammer 40000 right?? I never played any wargame in my life, but i have to say that mordheim has everything i was looking for... I am going to start a campaign by my self, and try to animate the battle reports hahahha lets see what happens! Erho, and many others here in the forum, PLEASE, if you see something wrong with the rules i am going to make, or if you want to correct me in something go ahead!! I am studying the manual, and reading a lot of stuff...is seems so complicated to me so i am going to make a " easiest " mordheim...  i leave a link with my last video about modular buildings...i have to make a lot if i want to create the whole city of mordheim!!! kind regards!! |

I am quiet busy these days, so pity because i want to start my campaign in mordheim... i show some of the things i am working in!   adding damage to the buildings...    I want to create a map in this style...     and i made again the minis this time in 35 mm, not 28 ( because my sceno is made for 35mm...) Basically i am trying to make a lot of modular buildings and stuff like barrels, trees, platforms... i will need to wait until my next day off ( when it is...ooooooh...next monday  ...to much) bye! |

Nice sketches! Are you going to build the castle as one piece or sectional? Hi erho, how are you doing? I am going to try to build all the city, in a modular way!! I am thinking that maybe special buildings like castles, the Bell tower, the library etc is going to be unique but modular as well and then the rest of buildings...well, almost all of them are destroyed so To make one modular building with 12 tiles...( like this one i showed in the picture before ) its takes me...2 hours. I have some cool ideas i need to try ( modular walls sections, towers, sewers ...) wow, Mordheim opened my mind, i am enjoying a lot!! |

I am still looking the style of the miniatures... i made many of them but...dindt like them Finally, i found something that looks nice ( to me of course  is 30mm but fits well with other plastic minis... i think im going to take this way |
