Thanks for sharing! I really like the dice box + padded miniature slot idea. Excellent for traveling players.

Thanks! The dice box was quite easy to make.
I bought for 1,50€ a plain wooden box (from TEDI, a german low-budget store). Then I made the corners from plywood, carved the lines and holes in with a pen. Another sheet of plywood was made to seperate the miniature compartment from the dice / pen area.
Then I took some kitchen sponges, cut them so I got about 5mm thick sheets, and laid the miniature inlay out with it. Glued it all in place with hot glue.
The next part was the dice and pen compartment. I took green felt, cut them to the right sizes, and glued it in place.
The painting was using the following scheme: Black, then dark brown (2-3 layers), Black Ink on the brown. The Metal parts had been painted with black, brass, highlighted with gold and inked with black.
I like the result.
Material costs are at about 2-3€ - and I guess you wouldn't be able to buy such thing for less then 15€ :-)

Good way to get a fairly wide exit tray in a limited space!

A Viking Longhouse in ProductionHas someone of you a good idea how to improvise Thatch for the roof? I have at the moment no access to a mat of coconut fibres. Any suggestions?

I Saw a YouTube video of some one using bristles from cheap wide paint brushes (the ones for house paint) might be worth a try

Roof finished (found a cocos mat for frostprotection in the garden supplies shed)Next step will be the completion of the timber frame on the chimney - and then I can begin painting and basining it.
