While working on my piles of gold "furniture", I happened to watch an episode of Black Magic Craft about the Tome of Beasts and I was inspired to take a look. Inside I found the Hoard Golem: This I had to make ;-) A couple of quick foil armatures (I wanted a pile of gold matching the outline of a huge monsters base): And another experiment in making nice bases cheaply. Washers superglued to a perfect circle of plastic from a lid, and then I'm gonna hot glue some card on top of that: The pile and the golem got the same hot glue, sand, and gold/PVA treatment as my other gold piles: Now they need to be detailed along with the rest of the piles. The golem is shaped roughly like my old water elemental - just a good deal bigger and more chunky (and unlike that one, I didn't have to worry about translucence). I think it will match the artwork nicely.

Do you plan on using glitter to detail it? Seems like it should be quite simple to finish. It will, indeed, look like the official image. Great work! Thanks for sharing, and for inspiring all of us. Cheers!

Very cool idea for the hoard golem!
For those times when the party blazes through your BBEG, you can cull them during the inventory of treasure
