So my latest venture into DMing has me building a lot of terrain and my first attempt at a watch tower it still needs paint and flocking etcmix of garden fence sticks, foam core, BBQ stick, string and coffee stirrers. Thoughts?

Might want to add some cross braces to the legs of it.
Other than that, it looks rather good.

yeah- it was looking kind of fragile, so I added cross braces and added more "rope" to give it a stronger look, once it drys i'll add a new photo

As a side note, unless this is for a more brutal race, you likely aren't going to have the spikes around the top.

Its designed as a rapidly put up tower for a town that is being attacked on a nightly basis, the basic idea is that they have had to defend themselves and the villagers all have differing ideas of how to scare off the attackers, trying all sorts such as the taverns owner building a watch tower to try and intimidate the attackers, the priest who is trying to reason with them, the blackmith is trying to burn them with molten metal (to mixed effect and the detriment to local buildings), and one very tired military captain who just wants to keep the town safe but is rapidly losing control while attempting to recruit a defence force. My players will be tasked with finding the source of the attackers and help save the town.

So after a week or so of having to wait to get an evening free to finish off the tower, I finally had time to paint and flock the damn thing

Howdy,
Some dark wash on the rope perhaps?
