Hi All, Just checking in. Have been lurking Scotty's stuff for about a year and reproducing some basic stuff. I'm getting back into D&D with 5E after being away for 25 years or so and love what some simple crafting has added to our game. So far just building simple modular stuff that travels well since our group meets after hours at my work. New to the forum and looking forward to digging in! Some samples of what I've done so far... nothing new here really, but new to me! -Mike

Really nice texture on those tree trunks! I agree. And that pool looks very deep. Who knows what creatures could be lurking in there.
Well, you probably do.

Thanks! Trees were actually the first thing I crafted I think. Scotty's tips on all that stuff really helped. There was a water elemental guardian in the pool and 2 rusty suits of mechanized armor that stepped down from the alcoves on the sides. Need to look into some true shellac... used modge podge of some kind to make it look wet, but the effect was pretty slight. Trying to use what I've got laying around though. Wizard was pretty excited when he cast flaming sphere and I plopped down the prop for him... so fun surprising my players with new stuff.

Heh, cool for your wizard. I'll have to ask my DM if he wants me to make any spell markers. I don't yet know what spells the magic user of our group will have in our new game.

Howdy,
Fantastic... One who has created this much goodness should not be going around with zero karma.
EXALT BUTTON!!!, Kev!
P.S. I'd have acknowledged the Nate Diaz avatar, but your crafting definitely rates...

Thanks for the Karma!
As for spell markers, what I was finding was that as soon as I have an idea for a marker, the wizard would start focusing on some other spell.
I'm thinking some more generic markers might be the way to go.
I made a cold based one for ray of frost types and and a purple-ish one for hex and other warlock effects. Just used bottle rings and such... can post a pic later.
HAHA, I totally didn't get the Nate Diaz reference... wasn't familiar. The Avatar is a picture of me... had to look up Nate Diaz to see the resemblance.
I'm that badass in my dreams though.
