Inspired by this pic, and by $ , I was asked to build this
A journey into witchcraft sorcery...and wood glue
All wood coffee stirrers wood glued, I also snatched up some sticks in the balsa setup at Michaels, (craft store)
added roof pieces from balsa and built handrail from tooth picks and balsa from Michaels
close up, with out the roof on
more of the roof build process
added facia and widow walk to roof structure, then put in vent at apex
Created wire supports for hut, fashioned them into makeshift wannabe chicken legs, and prepared them for sculpty

Everything balanced, and ready for magnetic resistance, for anti-force destabilizations that occur during gaming... lol
BOO............... Shingles suck...I don't care where you're from, lol
YAY, shingles done...woo-hoo
Alright, base coat, and top coat done, and chicken leg sculpting complete and baked 275 for 45 min. and no it didn't taste like chicken

There are some mighty lucky players out there somewhere, as well as a mighty lucky hut owner. That is sooo gorgeous, and it really has chicken legs!

Wowy Wow Wow! Absolutely awesome design and construction with playable inside! I also tip my hat to you, sir! Just a stellar job through and through. Shingles do suck, but you knocked it out of the park! They look so old and worn. What colors and process did you use for them? Soooo much detail.... This whole project just screams "Lived in"!
This craft could definitely make the Kessel Run in under 12 parsecs! Fantastic job!

Thanks Curufin Uhmmm, pieces cut from a ritz box, in various sizes, then hot glued in place one length at a time horizontally
then it was based in flat black enamel, burnt umber brushed, high lighted in tan , then aged with black except from an airbrush this time
also added some greens and light brown, made from burnt umber, and two drops of white mixed, airbrushed

Minor point, but didn't Baba Yaga have an iron stove for cooking children in, or on? Other than that, incredible piece! Cheers!

Thanks for sharing this. It is awesome.
You have not eventually 'blueprints' or sketches with measurements? :-)

Nice work.
For anyone looking to make one that doesn't want to sculpt the feet, I've seen another hut design that was made by hacking the legs off of a dinosaur toy.

Not really sure, when I got to the shingles...I cried, stomped my feet, blatantly disregarded...then finally completed them, and a "GLORIOUS" day it was sir!! But if I had to guess, close to 40 some odd hours, probably longer...
mainly because of the balancing act I had to pull off, especially if the hut and legs were not used with the base piece...
It all had to breakdown, so the hut could appear as a normal hut on the ground as the party approached...then click, click go the magnets
I also wanted the hut to be able to swivel in a moments notice as if the hut was turning its head on a party as they approached, used three ball magnets for that. Magnetic lock downs at the feet and the base, and on the onion dome.

Sorry I don't have any blueprints (what r those nasty things ) Just the picture at the top of my post.
Some of the pictures are taken above a measuring grid that's on the top of my crafting table, maybe that helps
