Miniatures suitable as frostgrave soldiers

I want to start a list for miniatures that fit into the frostgrave theme.

In this thread I want to concentrate on miniatures that fit into the soldier role.

I think a dedicated thread for wizards and apprentices and a thread for monsters would also be nice. I'll start this one, if there is enough attention for this topic and no one beats me to it, I'll start additional threads.

Lets start with the official frostgrave miniatures by Northstar Miniatures. I have both the soldier and the cultist set and from what I can see they both fit very well into the 28mm scale.

Theses Guys are enemies, but you can mix their body parts very well with the soldiers to get more variety.

I also love the metal miniatures by Gripping Beast. You can find them here. Pitty that I try very hard to remove all metal miniatures from my gaming table, so they are out of question

I just wanted to say that Annie, The Dice Bag Lady, offers a 50/50 mix of GBP Viking Hirdmen and GBP Dark Age Warriors, as one box kit for around 22 quid ($30).  That'd give you around 20 of each of the vikings and dark age warriors.

The Viking Hirdmen are nice because the official Frostgrave soldiers box doesn't not have chainmail figurines for the Marksmen, Knight & Templar.  But all the bodies of the Viking Hirdmen are chainmail.  This is where the Dark Age Warriors help since all the bodies are cloth.  Since they are both made by GBP the heads, bodies and arms (weapons) are interchangeable.  Also most of the viking heads have helmets whereas the dark age warriors don't .. so if you want a viking body without a helm, then you could use the dark age warrior head with it.

I ordered the above 50/50 kit from Annie (along with the official Frostgrave Soldiers kit), and will be receiving it soon.  I really look forward to it, and potentially more interchangeable GBP box kits in the future.  Note: the GBP parts aren't easily interchangeable with the official Frostgrave Soldiers kit -- FG joints are ball and socket and the GBP are flat; but if you are handy with snippers, putty & glue, you can even make that work I heard.

jennifer Nice! I guess you'll don't need a complete set of 40 miniatures if you also have the frostgrave soldiers. If you want to sell some of them to a fellow frostgrave player, let me know.

FireForge

Steppe Warriors (aka Mongol Infantry)



A few of these Steppe Warriors are below in the following two photos -- these are soldiers someone made for his Frostgrave game.  I really like these and there are other Fireforge kits they are compatible with such as Foot Sergeants and Templar Infantry (both of which are also popular on Lead Adventure Frostgrave forum).





These have flat joints and even though GBP is a different brand, I've seen these mongol heads on the GBP Viking Hirdmen for example.
