Ok so im making a pretty large temple for my next game and im running out of ideas for embellishments. already have pillars, an altar, and a sacrificial fire pit(this is a super old temple to a long forgotten evil god).
Could you guys please post a pic of your temple setups or just throw some other pics and suggestions a me of altars, pews, and any other stuff you guys have used/made.
thanks!!

i would do a room with an elaborate floor, maybe a summoning pattern, do you use card Board or Foam? Foam Floor Carved Or you could layer card board into a design for floor or a Big Door like my former craft war entry below, maybe not dwarf, same technique just evil

I'd go for an elaborate floor like Grym's suggestion, rather than pews. Pews are a fairly modern addition to worshipping and I don't think of priests of an evil god as being interested in providing any ease to the congregation. The focus should be on the central location of the ceremonies. Do you have some kind of elaborate wall décor planned for behind the altar?

Those are INCREDIBLE!!!! Im using foam core and card board just like DM scotty does in most of his vids. So this is what i have so far. These are Heroscape Minis for scale. Its not painted yet of course but that is a stone fire pit that wont be lit but will have evidence of people being burnt inside. Basically the Priests would kill cut the victims heart out then roll their body into the fire before feasting on the heart. I know the alter could be more, ill probably do more to it with foam core once i spray paint the room and all. The pillars at the back arent done yet, neither are the wood piles. The pile in the corner is where the PCs will get through a busted hole in the ceiling (if they find it). The other piles im using to represent old decayed doors. Room on the right is an old sleeping quarters Room on the left is an old Meditation quarters.

Yeah i wasnt actually gonna do Pews in here lol, just threw it up as the post. There is actually an enormously elaborate stone mosaic in the meditation chamber depicting the god taking over the world lol.

I also agree with doing something with the floor. If you are making classic 2.5D tiles, (where the floor of the tile comprises 90% of the total volume) the floor is the most important thing. Often times just adding a little color can really break up the monotony of grey stone. Even a checkerboard pattern of red and white could help break it up. Perhaps a reflecting pool or fountain? Or.... you could cut directly into the cardboard floor and add bits and embellishments. Perhaps something that will offer some hint or glimpse into the history or religion of this dark god. I cut dollar store snakes into the floor here.

just saying, for most people euro means they have to pay twice the regular amount of money compared to you who live there.
exemple... euro is like twice my money here in canada. so that means everything you paid for, i have to pay twice that amount each times.

I guess the ebay.com guys are selling for very low shipping costs. Not sure, because I'd need some ip cloaking to get around the geolocation. Do your own search on ebay.*** to find somebody selling them for a cheaper price.

I love how i can post for help one day and the next hour-day is just constant responses from fellow DM/Crafters!!! lol, you guys are awesome. Curufin, i saw your temple you made with the snakes way back when u did it, that stuff was awesome. lol. I think the red and black checkerboard pattern on a wet sponge would look really cool, I mite do that. The priests for this god once wore black robes with a yellow lightning bolt down the back so im probably gonna play off that a bit with some fake wall tapestries.

So heres what i just did. The Altar isnt done but the rest is pretty much done. My game is tomorrow and this isnt an enormous part of the storyline but i wanted to make it a cool encounter since there are gonna be oveer 30 skeletons and 6 shadows in this temple.
