** Actually on a side note I saw Lowes having a gallon of Elmer's Glue All for $15 (usually I find it other places for over $20). **
When doing up the TP paper mache I have run across a situation and got me wondering if anyone else has as well. The tacky glue is a bit more thick and when I go to use it on thin toilet paper it usually ends up self destructing the toilet paper. It does however seem to have a thicker coat and seems like a stronger bond...
...I have been working on a work around that seems to work well. In the first step don't use any glue, just use the wet toilet paper and let it dry. Now depending on whether I want to go for strength or texture the second step is applying either straight tacky glue or watered down tacky glue. It seems like the fibers don't pull away as much with the tacky glue if doing it this way. I still take a water (wet) brush to apply the glue all over and get into the nooks and crannies.
