Silly looking?!? That bunch looks positively scary! I imagine them growing somewhere on the plane of Faerie. Or Nightmare. Probably both. My characters would probably sh*t their pants, provided they wouldn't already have fallen victim to those flowers' charm powers and went happily sniffing the blooms, seconds before they got devoured... Long story short: Great work, as always. Have a nice trip!

Thanks for all the kind comments; they are appreciated. All things considered the trip went well. It was good to see my Boys again; AND see my Grandson for the first time. After I got back yesterday, I needed to paint. SO the last of The Bunch is now done: ...the whole Bunch: ...next up painting The Tower & Hovels, add a couple more Hovels, & plant The Flowers

I sure wouldn't hire on as a gardener there! Very impressive individually and more so in the massed effect.

I haven't been checking the forum as often as I once did, so I've been missing a lot of threads. This is one of them, and boy have I missed a lot. I've always loved your buildings, and you are the king of mushrooms. But the flowers are gorgeous. The paint work on those leaves is amazing. You remind me of why green is my favorite color.

Thanks for the kind reply, michka. I'm glad you like the new additions. The leaves are one of those things that the effort paid off. I'm afraid that I also don't visit this Forum as often as I would like.

AND, later the same day, there is a new Mushroom in The 'Hood: ...doesn't he have a winsome smile though?

Hey Deafnala, when you say that you stack the foam before carving it, do you adhere the pieces together or just drive a post up through the underside to hold everything together? Or another method altogether?

Or another method altogether? Sorry for the delay in posting a reply, troutgames. These are fairly small buildings. SO, I just hot glued rectangles of 1" insulation foam together, shaped, & detailed them, AND added balsa strips for shingles. I'll take some W.I.P. photos of the next one I make to give you a better idea...I figure the Village needs two or three more to fill it out properly.

I will try that now that I have some of the foam.
