As I'm terribly new to all of this you shouldn't expect a sixteenth chapel from me anytime soon. But, here goes... Made the guard deck and some ropes to keep 'm in. I'm still pondering if I should make this a wooden guardpost with or without pallisades. Or to make it part of a gate tower thingy with stone reinforcements.

Thanks, I hope it will be. Anyways, went for the wooden structure; Loads left to do, but it's been fun so far.

pretty sure it will look awesome once all painted. but to be honest right now... something is off and its at the top of the tower. its too new, compared to the wood below. if you understand what i mean. but once again all painted, or at least the top, im sure it will look awesome. if i were you though, i'd take a chisel or whatever can carve wood and just add a few details to those planks. that way it will look old just like the bottom part.

I know what you mean. I was thinking along those exact lines. In one of Wylochs videos he showed the chisel technique to make it older.
Even thought about adding a wheel to the deck so it would appear they raised a cart on some logs to build it.

Dndpaladin is right, I would carve some of the inside boards to make it look like there are spaces in the wood, it looks like orcs are making it, just to neat for them I think

I like it so far, a little wear and tear and one of Scotty's banners and you'll be set.

XD I added some of the colours I used on the 'new' wood to the logs to pull them together. chozo? I do admit I forgot to paint the bottom part of the tunic... not sure how that came to be or where I even got these figures from. edit; I looked up chozo, some Metroid race. I had never heard of them before.

the chozo armor is what samus is wearing. its the only armor still existing of that type.
why did i think about it... from above your creatures looks like they have samus helmet on their head. XD

I'll shoot a better picture once I get further along. Added some rough defences around the base and a banner holder. What method of banner making is advised?
